+1 on this, exactly the same situation.
The plugin worked correctly before, but I had to reinstall MusicBee on a clean Windows install, and it stopped scrobbling. I have re-checked login details several times, re-installed MusicBee, everything.
Latest MusicBee, Windows 10 20H2.
What I did to fix it, is go to my account settings, find MusicBee in the "Applications" tab, and clicked "Disconnect".
I then re-connected inside MusicBee, and it started to scrobble correctly.
Well this is what I'm doing at the moment, manually picking folders (not the entire library) to sync as well as the static playlist. So I have to basically structure my folders after playlists and reshuffle files inside those folders. I don't want to do that.
You don't need to do that if the tracks you want are already in an auto playlist. Just select the playlist to sync, MusicBee will take care of the rest.
This sounds like you're making it more complicated than it needs to be. If you just select the playlist(s) you want to sync in the sync settings (not "all music" or any folders), then only those files will be synced. The playlist is too, but that shouldn't make much difference.
Is there some reason that won't work for you?
Ok thought I'd put just the installer in 'C:\'. Reinstalled now in 'C:\', same problem.
It sounds like you are using the "Installer" version, not the "Portable" one. Uninstall every MusicBee instance you have. Then, download the Portable version from this link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/aclnp3sdzb9yn94/MusicBeePortable_3_3_Update1.zip/file .
Don't install it yet. First make a folder yourself called "MusicBee" directly on your C: drive, like C:\MusicBee. Then, unzip the portable package, run the exe inside, and point it to "C:\MusicBee" when it asks where you want to put it.
Download and use the portable. Be sure to place the portable version in something like C:\MusicBee and -not- into a Windows UAC directory.System.TypeInitializationException: Typinitieraren för #=z6e$J6m9fRGu8fsE3E7ApgKY= utlöste ett undantag. ---> System.ApplicationException: Unable to load 'c:\program files (x86)\musicbee\bass.dll'
