I searched a way to sort audio files by codes (MP3, FLAC, and so on) but I didn't find it.

Is there a way to do so?

Thank you.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: The sort order change propagates to playlist folder
« on: February 13, 2022, 01:58:16 AM »
I found a way to set a sort order to all playlist folders:

  1. Set the sort order to a playlist folder.
  2. Open the playlist folder in Windows Explorer, then you should find .xautopf file.
       - This file controls sort order (and other settings?) of the playlist folder.
  3. Edit .xautopf file and delete the line starting with "<SourcePath Location=...".
  4. Copy .xautopf file to other playlist folder.
       - If WSL is installed, you can copy by "find <path/to/MusicBee Root Directory>/Playlists -type d -exec cp </path/to/.xautopf> {} \;".
  5. Restart MusicBee and the sort order is applied to all playlist folders.

Since this method is unofficial and may have side effects, use it at your own risk.

MusicBee Wishlist / The sort order change propagates to playlist folder

While the sort order change propagates to all playlists which have same "display using view" option,
it does not propagates playlist folders.

I'd like the sort order change to propagates to playlist folders as well.

Thank you for considering.

Thank you for your answer! You are right, but I found that sort order does not propagate to playlist folders. I will post the issue to bug report or wishlist forum.

Currently 'Manual Order' is set to Sort By of playlists as default and I want to change all playlists to another.

Is there a way to set default to Sort By of playlists?

Thank you for considering.

playlist folders should be working now and i have added direct support in the context menu to add/ remove the custom playlist picture.
Also the foreground text colour can be overridden

https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee35_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

It works fine! Thank you for great update!

It's a great feature! Thank you for implementation.

I'd like the following abilities additionally:

  1. Set/remove a custom header from context menu.
  2. Set/remove a custom header to/from a playlist folder.

Sorry if it's already possible (I'm using MusicBee 3.5.8048).

Thank you for considering

100%.

i can only reproduce the 2nd issue. For the 1st, ...

I reported only one issue that artist field is filled with an color as artist name is scrolled.
It happens only when artist name is long and the right side of MusicBee's window is overhanging the display
like this:

I'm sorry for my poor English.

Thank you for looking into it.

I PMed my settings files link.

Like the attached image, artist field in player control panel is filled with an color.

It happens in the following situations:
  - As artist name is too long to be displayed in player control panel, the panel scrolls artist name.
  - Artist filed in player control panel is off-screen partially

I'm using MuiscBee 3.4.7805

Bug Reports / Re: AIFF files show wrong time duration

Thank you for looking into it.

I also meet the same problem, and ErrorLog.dat shows "File open failed: 'xxxx.aiff' - An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file"

Questions / Configuration language of ErrorLog.dat
« on: May 11, 2021, 02:11:20 PM »
Hi,

Is there a way to configure language of ErrorLog.dat?

Although I set Preferences->General->language English, ErrorLog.dat are written in Japanese that is system (windows 10) language.

It is helpful for bug reports if I can change language of ErrorLog.dat to English.
