Greetings, I'm attempting to update my phone's music / playlists using the device synchonisation. I wish to update the music / playlist on the phone's SD card. In Preferences > Devices, I find 2 entries for my phone (1 points to the internal storage; the other is the setup I want to use - to load onto the phone's SD card). It always picks up the internal storage device configuration and, even though I delete the internal storage "known device" configuration entry (while my phone is disconnected), once I plug my phone in, that 2nd (internal storage configuration) entry reappears in the "known devices" list.

How can I select the specific device entry I want MusicBee to use to synchronize music/playlists to the SD card of my phone (rather than the internal storage one - recreated each time I plug my phone in)?

General Discussions / MusicBee praise

Forgive me if I'm duplicating topics. If so point me accordingly & merge.

Moved off iTunes because it just doesn't play nice with Android. Welcome to "Too Big to Fail" mentality! Sigh!

Happy with MusicBee so far. Just getting started. Already like the more granular 'Rating' system (with half stars).

Look forward to improving my usage skills. Kudos!

Forgive me if this exists & I haven't found.

I know that I can right-click on the bottom control bar to bring up the MB control menu (which includes the "Locate Playing Track at Source" menu item). I just wish I could use a keyboard shortcut to do so. I often iterate from the mini player view to the main played view and then need to "Locate Playing Track at Source" to bring the song currently being played in the Tracks list (so I can right-click and 'Edit' the current song - to get its info).

In fairness, I can simply 'shift+enter' and I'll get to the currently playing song's properties. And the currently playing song is displayed in the "Playing Tracks" column of the main player view.

Still, it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut :-)

I know I can click on the mini player's 'maximize' window icon to change from 'Mini Player' to 'Main Player' view. I often do this when I want to see the details about the song that is playing (via 'Edit' menu item).

But, to return to the mini player view, I don't know of a better way than to navigate the MB 'View' menu. Is there a keyboard shortcut to change views?

If not, I would wish one.

Portable Devices / An unexpected error - please report to ...

In an attempt to sync to a Samsung Note S5 Edge running Android 6.0.1, a window titled 'Aborted' popped up in which was displayed "Synchronizing files scanning device ...". A 'MusicBee Error' titled window popped up with error:

MusicBee v3.1.6590.32668 (Win10.0), 1 May 2018 22:24:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Clicking on the error window's 'OK' reopened the error window 3 times.
Then, clicking on the 'Aborted' window's 'Close' button revealed the "Device Synchronization..." window with a list of ~175 songs 'Copied' and several 100 'Copy Failed - ...'. More 'Copied' & 'Copy Failed - ...' songs further down the list. Below the song list is displayed "Copy Failed - Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Looking at a sampling of the song titles that were copied versus 'copy failed' doesn't show any evident reason a priori. Files are available on disk where their path points to.
