Questions / Re: MusicBee for Linux (ubuntu)
« on: May 25, 2019, 06:24:38 PM »
I'm running MusicBee 3.3.6889 with dotnet461 and wine-staging 3.20 and so far it works pretty okay. Had to delete basswma.dll because it causes File Converter to crash (a tip from winehq). Winamp plugins and DSPs are working fine too.

A problem I'm having is when trying to use Auto-tag by Album

Quote
Saving file..

File exists [C:\users\shepard\Temp\01. filename something~0000003.mp3]

Retry - Cancel

I can see that every time I hit Retry a file gets added to C:\users\shepard\Temp and the tags are not getting applied.

Could be related with unix file paths and the usual https://docs.microsoft.com/windows/desktop/FileIO/naming-a-file#short-vs-long-names

Any idea how to fix this?

The main reason I want to keep using MusicBee is not only because it's awesome but the whole experience feels very "integrated" and you don't need several tools to make the same thing. And I need my Winamp plugins/DSPs to work (and the auto tagging) but I don't know any Linux player that has that.

Is anyone not getting this error? I'm also occasionally getting the error while updating album art and rarely with lyrics.

Questions / Re: Saving synced and unsynced lyrics seperately
« on: March 30, 2019, 02:11:59 PM »
As phred said, MiniLyrics is key to this.  You'll set MB to save lyrics to the file (Edit->Edit Preferences->Tags(1)...lyrics storage and then Edit->Edit Preferences->Tags(2)... check off both auto-retrieve and auto-save (if desired)).  That'll take care of the unsynced lyrics.

Then download/configure MiniLyrics save to a file and the MinLyrics Helper plugin for MB to read from those files.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that out

Edit: And it works perfectly, thank you!

Questions / Saving synced and unsynced lyrics seperately
« on: March 25, 2019, 04:01:01 AM »
Is there an option to embed unsynced lyrics to the file, while saving synced lyrics separately as an .lrc file?

As an additional, not as important question does anyone have a good source for synced lyrics for English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean or Indian songs?

Is there any fix for this issue from MusicBee side for the same?

Plugins / Re: LyricsReloaded (Updated)

Is there any way to figure out what are the 'leaders' and 'artist filters'? Sorry, but I don't have much experience in either regex or coding.

Edit: Alternatively, could you please add the site https://www.tamil2lyrics.com? Format is "https://www.tamil2lyrics.com/lyrics/{songname}-song-lyrics/". eg. "https://www.tamil2lyrics.com/lyrics/po-nee-po-song-lyrics/".

Questions / Restoring Backup in Musicbee from Windows Store
« on: November 03, 2018, 10:47:28 AM »
I've backed up all my files and settings and would like to restore them on the Windows store version of Musicbee. Where does this version store the settings and plugins?

MusicBee Wishlist / Change colour of mini player as well
« on: August 23, 2018, 05:12:59 AM »
A recent update allowed the control bar of the main player to change colour based on the album art. Is it possible to change the colour of the entire mini player similarly?

Questions / Has this skin actually been developed for Musicbee?
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:16:22 AM »
This is the picture used to describe Musicbee's skinning functionality, but I cannot find a skin like it. Are there are any similar skins available?
