Thanks. apart from musicbee crashing the first time I tried to use the plugin, all seems to be working fine now.

Bug Reports / Re: Issues with the player and my library
« on: May 19, 2023, 05:19:52 PM »
well my expectations are for a program that doesn't randomly delete my library
MB doesn't delete anything unless you have told it to. Or have configured something without actually understanding what it does.

That's what I thought as well. then i get a pop up asking if want to delete several thousand files out of my library that are still there and accessible. so I say no.

Today I come to the program and there's loads of (unknown) files in my library (around 12,000 at last count) that somehow lost all their meta data and the program seemed to have expunged them from my library.

Happy days.

well my expectations are for a program that doesn't randomly delete my library so I have to import everything again, so here's hoping THOSE low expectations are met by Winamp.

Bug Reports / Issues with the player and my library
« on: May 19, 2023, 10:11:21 AM »
I have used MusicBee as my only music player for years, but it's starting to annoy me.

I lost a large swathe of my library the other day and had to reimport it. Again, not idea why the program decided to delete all my music from my library.

When i reimported my music, a large number of files were imported with no metadata, so I have no idea what the songs are. I really haven't the patience to go and readd titles, artists, albums, lyrics and images to the over 4000 songs that are missing this data.

I have moved over to Winamp now. I know it's old school but it just friggin works and without these stupid "glitches".

Questions / Re: Play count bug
« on: September 22, 2021, 04:41:13 PM »
Thanks I've deleted that file. however my issue is not with syncing from Last.fm. I have files i haven't listened to over 100 times, but if I go into my top 50 played, it's there again. I go to Last.fm to see that I listened to it, not 154 times, but 5 times and update the playcount. next day - hey the top track in my top 50 is this track i've "listened to" 154 times. i am just wanting my play count to actually stay when I update it.

Currently using the new non -store version and the updates to playcount seem to be apply between days and between closing down the app and opening it again, so i'm hopeful it's just an issue with the MS store version.

HI,

Using version 3.4.7805 Store (from the MS Store) and there doesn't seem to be an option for play count under now playing.

Questions / Play count bug
« on: September 15, 2021, 02:12:04 PM »
The play count mechanism is broken. When I update the tracks I'm listening to with the actual play count from Last.fm, when I close down musicbee and reopen it (or wait a length of time) the corrected play counts disappear.

This has made things like a 50 most played playlist I created quite meaningless. My TOP track was apparently listened to 154 times, although checking Last.Fm I can tell it was listened to less than 5 times.

any fixes, suggestions to get this play count issue resolved?  I routinely listen to my daily mix as a random selection of play count = 0 tracks, but when listening to them, last.fm will tell me i've heard them any number of times.

Questions / Re: Inbox Indicator is completely wrong

Updating to the new version seems to have worked. No longer do I see 64000 files in my inbox, there's about 700 now. W00t!

Questions / Inbox Indicator is completely wrong
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:13:36 AM »
I had to reinstall MusicBee as I got a new PC. When I did so, the indicator on my inbox seems to be stuck. On my old PC it was accurate and would tell me (for instance) that I had 300 files. Now, I seem to be told that I have around 30,000 files in my inbox. Clicking on the inbox, I am then presented with the 300 files I had in my inbox on my old PC.

I can't find any setting configuration to change this so was wondering if the community knew how I could override this to become accurate again.

MusicBee Wishlist / Compilations
« on: November 08, 2011, 03:10:49 PM »
Music Bee is now my default player but there's still ONE thing that iTunes does well and that's groups all compilations together.

If Music Bee can do it, I can't find it (unless you say every compilation has album artist if "Various Artists").

Getting this sorted would be the icing on an already outstanding cake.
