Tips and Tricks / Re: How to make modifications to a skin that you like.
« on: February 28, 2024, 05:02:22 PM »

No, elements under <colours> are defined by RGB values, elements under <images> are defined by base64 encoded images.

This will allow you to change most of the colours and icons of any xmlc skin.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: button to enable/disable track or album replaygain
« on: February 16, 2024, 06:31:13 AM »
You can add your own.

Edit > Edit Preferences > Layout (1) > Customise Layout

(Or right-click a blank part of the program window title bar and select Configure Toolbar)

Add a command for Player: Replay Gain Toggle or one of the adjacent commands if you want to directly enable or disable Album / Track gain etc.
Hi Zak
wow , I would like to create some Eq presets , or radio

The Radio Browser database is stored online (https://www.radio-browser.info/), not within MusicBee (or Foobar)!  The searcher that uses it in MusicBee is the 4th tab in MB's "Show Station Directories" window choice from the Radio header menu.

You never did answer my question as to WHY you want to disable radio station lyrics but that's up to you.

hi sveakul
maybe I could ask if there could be possibile search the radio station name or the nation, what do you think?
could be even better searching for a nation or name , there are radio like radio paradise ,I guess it's "eclettic  music"
but is there an option to avoid to download lyrics for streaming?
thank Pal!

Yeah it uses the standard Radio Browser resource just like the one added to Foobar v2 versions.

Why on earth would you NOT want the option of lyrics from streaming??  I assume you mean viewing them when they are sent as radio stream metadata, which can be turned off if desired in Prefs/Tags(2)/auto-tagging/lyrics/auto-retrieve.  It's true they get downloaded and cached, but that can be dealt with in a jiffy using the batch delete file posted here:

https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=37509.msg206008#msg206008

Run that regularly (after changing the "set dir" path to match yours) and you'll be clean and mean!

You can use Musicbee's volume control without issues.

A couple of spectrum analyzers: https://www.thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/AudioTools/Spectrum.htm

I have a couple of 24 bit albums. Most of them 96 kHz, some 176 or 192.
If  > 96 I always analyze them as you can find all kind of nasty things like refresh rate of monitors, etc. Most of the time I down-sample them to the half.

I'm not able to hear the differences between a 24/96 and its down-sampled 16/44.1 kHz equivalent.

ps beautiful webpage in your signature!

When using WASAPI Exclusive, Musicbee play all audio at its native sample rate. Likewise 24 bit will be passed untouched (unless you do DSP inside Musicbee like volume control).

(unless you do DSP inside Musicbee like volume control).
may I ask you what do you mean for ?
I use the musicbee volume to control , i Keep w10 volume at 100% and increase /decrease volume under musicbee volume

and about what could i use for the spectrum ?

Quote
- using a spectrum analyzer, check if there is much life below -96. Most 24 bit recordings stop at -100.

have you 24bit albums? have you analyzed ? can you hear the differences?
thanks

Hi

I would like to buy online 2 albums , artist "the smile"
there are 2 versions for both album

1) 16bit 44.100 , like the cd

2) 24bit and 44.100  , i don't know if there is a better dither or better quality

should I enable some settings in musicbee 3.5.8698 ?
well , does musicbee play flac 24bit at 44.100 in wasapi exclusive mode?
thanks
