Questions / Re: Albums view -- multi-artist albums
« on: July 19, 2020, 07:35:05 PM »
Actually, when I do full screen, all of the space here could be used to list the artists. I understand if it's a technical limitation or just isn't  implemented, but most albums don't have more than a handful of artists, anyway, so it would seldom look weird in my opinion. Besides, this already works for Genres (although it again just takes all the genres of the first track rather than combining genres across songs in an album). But there's plenty of space if you ask me.

Questions / Albums view -- multi-artist albums
« on: July 19, 2020, 10:44:13 AM »
In Albums view, when I go to Customize Panel and enable:
-> Show the tracks for the selected album
-> directly under the selected album
... and select Artists as my header, only the artist of the first track is displayed. Is there a way to display all the artists from the album?

Questions / [Minor] Ctrl + backspace in the search bar
« on: June 06, 2020, 05:11:27 PM »
When you type ctrl + backspace in the MusicBee search bar, instead of deleting the last word, it produces some unknown character that manifests as a box. I think this used to be the case in Windows Notepad, but was fixed.

It's a minor thing, but I'm curious whether this server a purpose or is simply an unintended side-effect.

Questions / MusicBee not looking for album art
« on: November 19, 2019, 05:21:14 PM »
In past versions, MusicBee always, without fail, at least attempted to get album artwork for a particular album when I right-clicked on a track or album and selected 'Search Internet for Picture'.

Now, I've been adding albums to MusicBee one by one and, every now and then, MusicBee will simply refuse to look for art. I can tell because the prompt appears instantly. I'll add one album, find art, save it, great; add another, repeat, works fine. Then, I'll add a third album--no less obscure--and MusicBee won't even attempt to trawl the web for art.

Changing the title of the album to something simpler makes no difference.

Re-adding the album to MusicBee makes no difference.

Again, this never occurred with the versions I used before I installed a fresh copy of MusicBee a couple of months ago. I just updated to the latest version and it did not seem to help.

Questions / Re: "Album data inconsistent with other tracks"
« on: March 03, 2019, 11:10:32 AM »
Cheers, man; that fixed it!

Related question: any way to deal with tag inconsistency when there are two separate albums with the same name by a single artist, but in different years? Apropos of Johnny Cash's 1964 and 1970 albums, both titled I Walk the Line (the latter is a soundtrack).

Questions / "Album data inconsistent with other tracks"

This only happens with certain albums, even though the album artist is the same (copy-pasted) for every track on the album. Any idea what's going on here?

MusicBee Wishlist / 'Search Internet for Picture' hotkey
« on: March 24, 2017, 09:54:28 PM »
Hi. I'm on MusicBee 3.0.6276 and I've always been happy with the program.

There's one thing I find myself doing quite a lot when I'm curating my library: updating album art.

Would it be possible for you to give us a hotkey dedicated specifically to this feature? While there is this option currently available, it opens a slower, less friendly window. A hotkey devoted to the specific feature I mentioned would sure save me a lot of time. Thanks!
