You can use the Artist Splitter next to the Artist field where you can enter personnel and their role/instrument.

In the Expanded Panel of the Album Cover view, the header is currently fixed to Album and Album Artist (Year), would it be possible to make those tags editable?
Edit: the way it's been implemented in the new Album and Tracks view would be perfect.

I'd be very much interested in a sidebar editor for "descriptive" tags per track like moods or for performers editing (which can be difficult when they differ from track to track).

A slight detail bothers me though: when there's only one track with a subtitle (or whichever tag chosen), all the others have a space below them. Would it be possible to make them appear without that space? An option to hide the <Artist> tag below the title only for tracks where <Artist>=<Album Artist> would look very nice as well.

It is currently impossible to add an individual performer to tracks that have different existing lists (it deletes the existing performers and only adds the new one).
Could it be possible to add tickboxes to the artist splitter to add or remove individual artists without deleting the whole list? (Like the ones next to mixed tags while selecting multiple files)

Also using 3.1.6322, the same behaviour happens while using the Column Browser with "Sort Album Artist"
For instance, an album tagged "Sonny Boy Williamson; The Yardbirds" in the Album Artist field will not appear under "Sonny Boy Williamson" nor "Yardbirds" while sorting by "Sort Album Artist".

Bug Reports / Track count is doubled when an Artist and a Performer have the same name

(using MB 3.1.6286)
As seen in the following screenshot, browsing "Artists" will have the wrong track count if an Artist is also a Performer (Charles Mingus in that case). There is only 9 tracks in that playlist, so I'm guessing it counts each instance of the name in the splitter as a different track.

Edit: I have tried deleting the "Charles Mingus - Artist" line in the splitter but a file rescan will automatically add it back.
