MusicBee Wishlist / VU Meters Display
« on: March 10, 2019, 10:32:08 PM »
It'd be really nice to get some analogue VU meters to display. A variety pack would be nice; I'd even be willing to pay for it. I think there should definitely be some paid options for some of these ideas for the program. Or does anyone have any that can be plugged into MusicBee somehow?

Fixed! Works great now. Uninstalled everything, reinstalled the patched version. What exactly did you fix in this new one?

Still doesn't work. I'll try exploring my security software or uninstalling and reinstalling.

I'm running an Asus laptop with i5 processor from 2016 and a solid state drive.

Seems to be doing the same exact thing with the new one. Should I uninstall everything and reinstall?

Bug Reports / Cannot "Open" Multiple Files. (Video Included)
« on: January 20, 2018, 09:25:24 AM »
When I have a folder open on my desktop, and highlight all the tracks, then then right click "Open", it sends everything to MusicBee. But then the tracks (say I opened 13 tracks) immediately show up, then within a split second, drop down to only 3, then 1, then changes again. Sometimes it leaves it at 3. If anyone needs a video of the entire issue, I can post it. This just started happening today on my old build, then I updated to the newest, and it's still doing it. I took a video of the issue. If I drag and drop into MusicBee, it's fine. (Video below)

Plugins / Re: VST Effects Plugin
« on: March 12, 2017, 08:43:20 PM »
i assume the bundle you install creates separate folders for the VST2, VST3 and RTAS files so try configuring the plugin to point to the VST2 folder only.
The plugin cannot handle VST instrument plugins and i am not sure about whether VST3 works or not

So are we not supposed to move the .dll files to the MusicBee folder?
no - where did you see that instruction? You need to configure the MB Plugin in Preferences/Plugin to point to the folder the VST plugins are installed

Confusion over your phrasing. Anyway, I guess the only way to fix this is for someone to actually watch my computer as I do it. Obviously something is not happening, and it's either within MusicBee or the software I'm installing.

the VST plugins need to be the 32 bit version

I'm using the 32 bit versions.

Turns out I was trying to use the 64bit version as Vincent stated. The Toneboosters plugin download includes 32bit versions (http://www.toneboosters.com/download/).

I made a new vst folder inside my MusicBee installation (I've got a lot of vsts for my dayjob) and put just the 32bit isone dll along with my registration file for it in there. Once the correct path is set in MB, and after a restart, it shows up in the DSP Effects list. HOWEVER, there are some pretty serious shortcomings:

Nope. Literally nothing shows up in VST except the stock options. Nothing else I put into the folder appears. I've restarted, I've run as Administrator, etc.

My folder path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee\Plugins

The .dll files are all in that folder. They don't appear in the program. Unless someone can come up with a reason, I guess I'll continue to use JRiver which handles VSTs flawlessly. :(

I can't get any VST items to work. I've installed them, I've set the path, I've restarted, I've run as Administrator, etc. I cannot get any of the VST items to even show up as existing. I've used the newest update plugin as well.

X86 as MusicBee needs the 32 bit version

I'm following your website instructions exactly and literally nothing is happening. MusicBee will absolutely not display the plugins. At all. Only the stock options exist.

make sure you are using the latest mb_VST.dll file on the VST plugins topic that was released in 4-Jan-2017 (check the file modification date).
If you are using it then you also need to configure the VST plugin path in the Preferences/ Plugin settings panel

Hey Steven, I am using the latest Jan 4 2017 one. the plugin path is listed as: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vst Plugins.

I changed it to C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee\Plugins.
I have all the plugins installed into this folder. The path is set to that folder.  Is this incorrect? When I "save" and Restart the program, it still shows me nothing in the DSP options except the stock options. I have run the program with and without being an Administrator.

The files themselves either come from an x64 or x86 folder....is this the issue? Which one should they come out of?

Nope, not working. I've put the latest mb_VST.dll in the folder and then installed the TB Isone plugins that are .dll files into the Plugins folder in MusicBee. From that point on I'm stuck and MusicBee does not seem to be recognizing them. They're not shown anywhere in the Musicbee program in the DSP settings/list at all or when I click on on Configure. When I access the Plugins Folder through "Configure", both in the Winamp and Musicbee folders, no plugins at all are listed.

Questions / Installing Isone Pro

Hi, can anyone guide me through the set up for this program? Does anyone here have it? Head-Fi could not assist me with this.

I am unsure if I'm doing something right or wrong. So far I have done:

 - Downloaded the ZIP file for TB Isone

-Copied and pasted the .dll files to a VST folder inside of the MusicBee Plugins folder (not sure if they should be in the Plugins root folder or a separate VST folder inside the Plugins?)

-Set the path for VST Host in MusicBee to "C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee\Plugins\VST in Preferences\Plugins" (not sure if that's correct either?)
