Questions / Re: Display art of selected track instead of playing track?
« on: December 06, 2020, 06:28:36 AM »
Click the "Track Information" button at the top of the panel and choose "Selected Tracks"

Ahh, I didn't realize that was a button. This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you Steven! Musicbee is the best audio software out there and is fantastic software in general. You've done a great job and I highly appreciate the work you've put in and continue to put in to it.

I'm currently leveraging the right sidebar panel using the track information component.

Hi all,

Is there a way to have MusicBee display the album art of the selected track instead of the playing track? I've been poking around at the settings and haven't found a way to control which track it shows the art for.

Thanks all!

Questions / Re: (resolved) Auto-organization not auto organizing?

Figured it out playing around. It was indeed that I didn't have my NAS in the drive mapping. Didn't need a virtual drive though, just needed to put my NAS in as a drive on the auto-organize listing.

Bug Reports / Splash startup shows MusicBee 3.0 in 6690
« on: April 28, 2018, 03:13:04 PM »
Small visual bug. When I updated to latest beta (6690 at time of this writing), the splash screen on startup shows 3.0 instead of 3.2.

6
Nevermind. I found a link to the latest beta and this issue does not happen there, so you've fixed this already.

The "Recover your password" feature doesn't work. It's been awhile since I've logged in and I didnt remember my password. It never sent me an email after 3 tries across multiple days (yes, I checked my spam and all of that). Fortunately, I eventually guessed the password so I'm back, but wanted to let you know.

Questions / (resolved) Auto-organization not auto organizing?
« on: April 28, 2018, 02:56:27 PM »
Hey folks,

I just built a new PC and forgot to back up my MB settings. So... I'm going back through and re-tweaking stuff. I'm finding that MB now isn't auto-organizing my files. Even when trying on a single file, I change the tag but the actual file doesn't change.

Auto-organize is checked.

Is it because my music lives on a NAS? I slightly remember making a virtual device for the NAS, but I don't remember why.

Hey Steven,

I get an error every time I click on the "organisation" button in settings next to the automatically sweep new file action. Details below.

MusicBee v3.2.6676.40631 (Win10.0), 28 Apr 2018 8:49:

Why not use MB or MP3tag to add a genre (or some other virtual tag) to them to split them with? Then you could have a playlist that splits them based on "contains genre X" very easily. Adding a genre would take a few minutes and then done.

11
Full screen means it will go the entire size of your screen just like any application. If you want to change the size of MB, drag at the edges like any application.

12
I also notice this in some applications, some global hot keys don't work. My main ones I notice are the media keys (e.g. next and back). They work if I give MB focus, but don't work if it's not in focus.

Possibly the application is stealing the key command?

Questions / Re: error=BASS_ERROR_FILEFORM ?
« on: July 31, 2016, 03:00:28 PM »
I think the problem is the OGG Opus.

Music Bee seems to be able of play only OGG Vorbis files

As stated in the OP, he is using MP3 and so this is clearly not the issue you posted in a separate thread.

Alanevil, does the file play successfully and you only get the error when trying to burn?

Questions / Re: Moving Tracks Around

Ah, decent point phred (posted before morning coffee).

WannaBee, if phred's point is what you were thinking, you can also use auto-playlists. These playlists let you automatically create a playlist based on rules so you don't ever have to add anything specifically to the playlist if you don't want to.
