This is not my area of expertise... But I do know this can be done.. but the trick is to find someone to develop the program.. whether its someone interested in MB itself because of their personal interest in MB and would like to continue the growth of MB into the future... or a person for hire (professional) with the skills and will spend the time developing the add-on program... As far as I know nothing like this has been done before in the MB community... so it would be breaking new ground... But it is something that would benefit MB.. but most of all the majority of MB users would use it... there's no doubt about that.. DLNA, UPNP, LTE.. Everyone wants to bring their OWN Music with them... If a developer could be found.. by someone in the MB community with the knowledge of where to look and then present to the MB community a cost estimate to develop the program and then see how the MB community would respond... we have Nothing to lose and a Great Program to gain... daibaron has taken the first step... If we can continue to keep the discussion going and get ideas from more members.. If we can take this discussion into the General Forum so more people will see it then we will get more input... or maybe someone with programming skills that's willing to help... More Ideas and Opinions are welcome ...

I'm IN !!!! .... Good Job Daibaron ... "BIG D" ... Start with DLNA and work it up to LTE for complete Mobility... MB Streaming is the Future... " That's One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap For Mankind. "

Thanks for the response Steven... I was just getting tired of trying work rounds so I can use MB for all my devices... Home and Mobile..  Making new libraries and Playlists just so you can play your music on everything... I would still fund someone to write the code so I can have it stream in the car over LTE .... Thanks again Steven... MusicBee Streaming is the Future... How about a code for Kelsos Android app so we can link up with library at the house then use it in the car...?

Thanks for the info Freddy... Your great Freddy LOL " I'm just old, so I'm not really into Blue-teeth and Streaming " (teeth)...

Your 110% right... Myself, Fred Barker DIVERSITY and yourself Frankz would like to talk about the subject at hand... toward the end of the reply to phred I said "End of discussion".. I didn't want to go down that road any more.. because it's going to kill the conversation.. Then hiccup comes in and continues the negative vibe and takes a few pokes at me..  I'm with you Frankz lets just stay on topic..
I'm with you on the "Hire a Coder".. I'd pay for one... Thanks to you and Fred Barker DIVERSITY for your inputs... I hope other members will give suggestions still...

Mr. Fred Barker DIVERSITY... Thank your for your suggestion... I've mostly dealt with Windows on PC and iPhone.. I've had a couple of android tablets in the past but never really explored them much... The Android Remote app by kelsos is good... I think kelsos is doing a great job...
As far as MR. hiccup... I'm not sure how my typing skills have anything to do with DLNA and MB... What I do understand is "Hero Members" piling on other MB community members for no real reason... Your remark quote "All you do is asking" is a another example of a Hero Member piling on... because you know nothing about the financial contributions that I have made over the years... Posting three times on the same subject I feel passionate about over a 2 1/2 year period... I'm not understanding that one... Then you suggest I am questioning or don't understand the commitment of Phred and Psychoadept to the MB Community.... What you need to do MR.HICCUP is to STEP BACK.. and control yourself... Your putting a NEGATIVE mark on Hero Members thru out the MB Community with your attacks... MB Forum is by far one of the best forums out there... We can have discussion on different subjects... Try to control your rants...

Mr. Fred Barker DIVERSITY... Thanks again for your suggestion... I'll do some searching for some programs...  Streaming is Now... MB Streaming is the Future..

Mr. Phred..... One of the three postings your speaking of was from Feb of 2015.. over 2 years ago...If a MB Community member wishes to continue a discussion on a Plugin or something else they believe would add to the MB experience.. even if he picks it up 2 1/2 years later... That's OK... It's not for you to determine if it is legitimate thread or topic... just because you feel the topic has.. quote " limited interest in -using- " .... or your just having a bad day... Keep your negative vibe out of it.. Hopefully you didn't kill the thread... End of discussion Mr. Phred... Thank you for your thoughts on the subject of MB DLNA Mr. Frankz... Yes it is amazing what Steven has created.. and the MB Community is unbelievable on how it contributes... and how a developer actually listens and implements their ideas... I've thought of "Hire a Coder" before too... Streaming is now... MB Streaming is the Future...

'Yes'... I've read the threads on DLNA... and 'Yes' I did read that Steven has no time for this Plugin..If you read about 3/4 the way down.it says quote:"If Steven isn't able to develop this plugin... maybe someone out there who love's MB like we do... would be able to help Steven out.."  'Yes' it was stated as a 'Plugin' in the thread.. 'Yes' I understand Steven is working on his own time... That is why I was asking if someone would be willing to maybe help with developing the Plugin... quote  "all of us in the MB family would be forever great full... maybe even give you a title... lol ... " Your negative tone at the start of your reply  "Has anyone given any thought to the fact that MB is developed by one person" Like everyone in the MB community doesn't understand what a great job Steven has done on this incredible Music Program.. He's done a fantastic job.. He's put years into MB.. Plus you removed this thread from the General Discussions thread and placed it here in Wish list.. Yes this is a whish list plugin but also an important discussion for reading in the 'General Discussions' forum.. More people will read this in the General Discussion forum and will get more thoughts and maybe someone to help develop the plugin.. which is what we want.. someone to help us out... Streaming is Now... MusicBee is #1... let's keep it #1.. MB is the Future...

People of MB... Streaming is NOW... STREAMING using MB would be the name of the game.. DLNA etc... If MB doesn't develop DLNA, UPnP, and 4G it will fall by the wayside.... I've been using MB for about 7 years now and there is nothing close to what it can do... But you can only play it at home... it needs to be mobile... I use Plex in my truck.. I stream it to my phone ( 4G ) then blue tooth to my receiver... I works perfect... I can play my entire Library in my truck... But I want to use my MB library and playlist that I have been working on for the last 7 years... I've been using DLNA to stream to my home receiver so I can hear it thru the big speakers... but it keeps dropping out... Plex, Sonos and countless others are CHANGING THE GAME... MB jumped ahead of WinAmp and all the others... Plex,Sonos and the others are passing MB as we speak... MB can be THE PROGRAM TO HAVE...  now and in the FUTURE... If Steven isn't able to develop this plugin... maybe someone out there who love's MB like we do... would be able to help Steven out... all of us in the MB family would be forever great full... maybe even give you a title... lol ... I think this message and thread is very important for this MB community... If you agree with me... lets keep this message going and see if we can make this happen... It's for us...

MusicBee Wishlist / Last FM Screen in Theater Mode......
« on: February 27, 2015, 05:13:32 AM »
Would it be possible to put the Last Fm screen with the artist pictures and bio in a Theater Mode Skin...It would be a nice touch having Last Fm's bio transparent on the artist picture screen.......   "Music To The Power Of The BEE"

Plugins / Re: UPnP/ DLNA device support

UPnP/DLNA is a great plugin...puts MB on a new level... My output to Sonos gives me the error....  "unable to start playback (error=BASS_OK) " .... I read the earlier posts (sssweat)...and I have all the new add-ons installed and latest MB......It would be so Coool to use Sonos thru MB.... ... Also I have a Pioneer Elite SC 05 receiver and it's playing good thru MB.... but the volume control on MB does not control any volume..... only the receiver controls volume...  Is this normal for out puts to DLNA components ? ....  UPnP/DLNA gives more  " Power To The BEE " ........

Just read the thread the other day...downloaded everything and got EventGhost to work....I'm trying to set it so I can skip to 'Next Track','Previous Track" and volume up and down....These are simple...but I can't seem to find a way to set them up....If you could show me how.....that would be great....I am very interested in this remote program for my iPhone...because MB doesn't have anything that I know of for the iPhone....any help would be great..........Thanks for the program....

I have an orginal file with music...I would like to make an organised copy in another folder as back up...I'm using 'Copy Files to Organised Folder' to copy into the new folder (and organise it).....If I want to Add more music to the new music folder and there are duplicate songs MB adds the song file name with a number '1' at the end of the title name...now I have duplicate songs...'Copy Files to Organised Folder' has a box to tick for 'allow existing files to be replaced'...I don't want to  'replace'  any existing songs..(existing song may be a higher bitrate)..I just want to copy the new song without duplicates...Is there an option for looking for duplicates for 'Copy Files to Organised Folder'.....Also...I tried using 'Monitored Folders' in  'Library Preferences' but it will  'Move'  the song from the orginal file folder to the new music folder...there is no option for monitoring and just coping a song to the new folder....By having the orginal music folder and the new music folder...is that now you have a back up copy of all your music...and we all know we should always have a bck-up copy of your music....If there was a 'Copy Files To' in the 'Monitor Folders/New File Action/Automatically Sweep and Organise New Files/ Organisation-(inside the 'Organisation' Tab)...While adding new music to your  library it would Organise and back up your music in one simple step....If it had a 'Copy Files to Folder' box and a 'Move Files to Folder' box to tick......in all the 'Organisation Tabs' (and checking for Duplicates)....Automaticaly adds music..checks for duplicates..organises folders and is a back up folder for all your music.......No other Music program does this....It seems it would be a simple command because of the way MB is already set up in the 'Organisation Tabs'...just add a 'Copy Files To' Box.....It would be great in MB....
