Questions / changing new skin icons back

I am trying to keep my MusicBee program up to date, but have a very minor problem. The newest release has the "skinny" icons for play, pause, forward, back. I prefer the previous thicker ones. How would I go about changing those back to how they used to appear? I tried downloading the new skin editor, but it was looking for an xml file while the default skin appears to be an xmlc file so it would not work.

What are my options or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for that answer. I did the download and had not really heard a difference myself. However, I don't have many files in that format (mine are mainly FLAC and MP3), so I wasn't sure. And no, I've never had a problem playing AAC files with just the windows decoder.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between using the windows decoder and using the bass decoder? Is there an audible change in the quality of the playback?

I have to admit I've no clue when it comes any of these.

I have a similar question, as my 67 year old eyes tell me I need lighter (brighter?) text.

If you want to adjust all the text to make it brighter you best edit the skin itself

I guess that is part of my problem. I don't know what file to open, or what to open it with, in order to do that. going to guess there is a skin editor program for MusicBee?

Wrap the virtual tag your using for the Disc # sub-header with colour mark-up script.
{color: 255, 0, 0}your Disc # sub-header here{color: default}

For those of us who don't understand a word of your answer (our fault, not yours), where do you find that setting? And is there a list or cheat-sheet of what numbers relate to what colors? What is 255 equal to color-wise?

For example, I've used the Midnight skin and like it, but would like the track listings to be more visible/brighter.

What about the other options not listed in the poll? Where is AAC or WMA? Are polls on the board software limited in the number of choices you can list?
