Good thinking.
1. Alas, I double checked and none of the ones I deleted (and kept track of manually in an external playlist) show up in the history.
2. Also, it's very much under influence of musicbee's untrusthworthy behavior. For example, my current MB history only goes back to 2018 for one reason or another.  Same for my "last modified" and "added date" for all tracks. Somehow, on a certain day all my music resets those fields to the current date. I'm not sure why. I presume a MB crash or update or change of library folder or sómething repeatable. So, even if it would keep a perfect track, it's too risky in my opinion.
Thanks for the idea though.

I want to keep track to the tracks I listened to and deleted (because I didn't like them).
My plugin Ghost Tracks did just that, although with a major  unsolved problem (Nr 2 below).

My question now is: Is it possible today with Musicbee itself to:

1.  Keep a list of deleted tracks ?
--- For now I only see making an external playlist before deleting them
___ Ghost Tracks had its own list after deleting tracks automatically

2. Searching for ALL music in your library AND in these deleted tracks? *
--- Don't think so, but maybe you guys know something?
___ MB Interface was not ready for that to be able to program that in Ghost Tracks

* To see if I already listened to tracks before buying new ones. You see, I am a music freak, listening to soooo many different music, but my memory can't keep track of all the music I ever listened to, not even what's in my library.

Thank you

Very disappointed in the end. The moods and genres are really basic and often wrong. The interface is terrible.
Ah well..
Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the info
Maybe I'll make an addon once to integrate musicovery since I guess that has had no follow up either..

Is this gone now?
What about Musicovery, ever gonna happen?

Meanwhile I solved my "quest" with using "Play Count" > 0 and < 1.
Not sure if my previous trial still shows some kind of bug or discontinuity between file values and filter drop-down.

8
Are you certain? Because in the filter drop-down there is no choice for a boolean..
If so, how do I filter between Unknown and any date, with these choices?

Muscibee 3.4.7495

When I make an autoplaylist with the "Last played" field to "has a value", tracks of which "last played" are "Unknown" 'check via file-properties) still pop up. When I do the reverse "has no value", no tracks at all pop up (although I have both unknown and known last played values when I check file-properties)!

Plugins / Re: Speak back - Give Musicbee a voice!

...to hear announced the title and artist (depending on the tags of on the filename) in the first seconds of the song...
I've always meant to include this myself, but I don't have enough information if a simple text-to-speech engine exists (or if it exist in standard Windows) that can be included in my plugin. I'm also a bit frustrated generally, related to development, the last few years..besides having too many projects. So maybe once if someone can point me to this engine ánd I find my drive back to develop. Sorry, mate.. Internet and development is not what it used to be (for me)...

Can we change the volume/add our own sounds easily?I'm assuming I just have to change the sound files in the plugin folder.
You assume right. Just replace the files with the same names.
Volume: Planned next version. It's bugging me too. I'm even planning to make its volume setting relative to the playback setting. (But it could take a while: I have a zillion free digital projects  :-X  AND currently addicted to video games  :-[  and eco-travelling  8) . But I'll try to make an effort after your post.)

Questions / Re: New to Musicbee...which version to download
« on: April 24, 2018, 01:18:29 PM »
Thanks for the clarification.  I thought the portable was the same as Windows Store, regarding folders, as I read on another forum topic, and presumed the same problem. Neither did I realize about the copy-over patches existance.
But I forgot to mention, and I don't know if it's the same for both, but it's about going from an old normal install version to a new Windows Store version.   Sorry, I use to live in my own mind too much, often forgetting to point out important parts of what I want to say.  :-[  :-[

For any other users reading this and not wanting to make the same mistake as I did when going from normal install to Windows Store:
Don't use Store (or portable?) edition if:
- you want to regularly install-update with betas (without much tweaking)
- you don't want to transfer your settings from earlier install (without much tweaking)

Bug Reports / Musicbee doesn't start (since previous latest update?)
« on: December 14, 2017, 02:24:45 PM »
For some weeks I haven't been able to start Musicbee. I ignored it until today.
This may have been happening since the previous update, but I'm not sure.
- So, I updated to the latest update, but no improvement. Still can't start.
Strange thing is, it doesn't even come up shortly on a process monitor.. (Or the monitor misses it because it crashes quite fast?)
- I uninstalled MB and installed the official release again. After filling in the first required options, it started fine.
Then I updated with the latest update (MusicBee_Setup_3_1_6512.exe), and it happens again. Refuses to start.

This is the only line in Error Log in %appdata%:

Quote
14/12/2017 14:11:02 - C:\Users\r_u_b\Music\Music\:Thread was being aborted.
(That's my music folder with the music files. The one I gave after reinstalling for scanning, though I pressed cancel as to scan later.)

Not sure how I can provide more information.
Thanks for any help.

Can anyone help me with a storage question, please? --> sqlite3.dll - How to target this library in .NET?
I really want to choose the right choice before programming again. Thank you!
