Questions / Re: MusicBee File Format
« on: September 28, 2019, 09:09:47 AM »
Thanks guys, I managed to write app to do exactly what I needed after switching MusicBee from MBP to M3U file format.

Would still like to see MBP file format changed to a more utility accessible XML format.  Since it can store some additional properties.

All cool. I just want some suggestions. I'll hack the .MBP format.

Sorry frankz, no hard feelings, but you're not helping.  I want to update the .MBP files.

And why you have to be so anti-cool tool?

So MusicBee .MBP file format is proprietary?  Anyway to update paths of files?

Why are you so argumentative about something so simple?

That's my point.  There should be app to update playlists to find out where missing songs have been moved in your known library folders.  It's not rocket science.

NO, files get moved outside of MusicBee for many reasons.  It would be easy to correct playlists knowing the file format.

My Libraries do not always revolve around MusicBee, so you're really being self-centered.

Wrecking Libraries?  Moving files outside of MusicBee is not wrecking.  Get serious!

Export the playlist, update it and re-import it.  Yeah that's the intention, but for hundreds of playlists.  So want to automate it. Get it?

No, that doesn't work.  It only works when updating ROOT location.

If I move:
D:\Music\Radio Birdman\Early Morning Gunk.mp3

To:
D:\Music\Australia\Radio Birdman\Early Morning Gunk.mp3

How does that help?  And if I moved hundreds of bands to different country folders (just an example)?

Questions / MusicBee File Format
« on: September 20, 2019, 01:57:54 AM »
I'm looking for some info on the .MBP MusicBee file format.  After years of using MusicBee, I have lots of Playlists that show they are missing locations of files (because files have been moved to better locations).  So what I want to do... is write an application that can read my .MBP files (all of them, and all the folders and subfolders they reference), and then for all the missing files, find them in that known folder structure and update the .MBP file to their new location.

Does that makes sense?  Anything that can do that already?

Thanks,
Gordon

MusicBee Wishlist / Move to End of Playlist
« on: August 31, 2014, 11:06:46 PM »
Hi Steven,

I would like option to 'Move to End of Playlist' when I right-click a Song in Playlist.  That'd be really useful and hopefully not too hard to implement.

Thanks.
Gordon
