MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Add a search field to the settings

MusicBee has a lot of settings. This is good; having more options is always a plus in my book.
They aren't always where I expect them to be. This is annoying.

A search bar (honestly, just a basic case-insensitive match against localized labels would be adequate) would make finding things less frustrating.

It would also be nice if the "Original Artist" and "Original Title" fields pulled suggestions from the "Artist" and "Title" fields respectively.

Not sure if this is supposed to happen, but it's rather obnoxious IMHO.

Summary: When browsing a removable device, which is then disconnected, MusicBee hides the tab upon its next startup.

Steps to reproduce:
    1) Navigate to a removable device (e.g. MTP, Thumb Drive, etc.) in a MusicBee tab
    2 (Not required)) Close MusicBee
    3) Remove device
    4) Reopen MusicBee; the tab that browsed to the removable device is now hidden
    5) Remount the removable device; the tab reappears. This occurs based on conditions I do not fully understand.

Desired behavior: I understand the desire to remove tabs showing content that cannot be acted upon (such as a removed drive), but when the tab is not used exclusively for that purpose (I use one tab for browsing my library and removable drives), its disappearance is a pain. What would make more sense to me from a UX perspective would be to either default tabs back to a specific view (e.g. "Music") when the viewed path is no longer available, or spawn a new tab specifically for removable drives. I think the former would be easier to implement and use.

Specs:
    - MusicBee 3.3.7075
    - Windows 10 Pro (10.0.1713 x64)

This would make adding songs to playlists much easier

Bug Reports / "Rip CD" Dialog not showing tracks
« on: October 09, 2018, 04:26:31 AM »
The "Rip CD" dialog is not showing track names (making it difficult to rip a CD  :-\ ). Windows, MusicBee, etc. can obviously see the CD, as the tracks show up in MusicBee and Explorer (they also play off the CD, and WMP can rip them). No error is shown.

MusicBee: 3.2.6827
Windows: 10.0.17134, Build 17134
Drive: LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSB0

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: now playing notifcation positon

This is likely due to the popup location being customizable by dragging it while shown. It would be nice if the options for the popup had the ability to set its location as a coordinate relative to a screen corner. (e.g. -10px, -10px from bottom right)

Bug Reports / Re: Buffer issue playback
« on: March 14, 2018, 02:33:34 AM »
The older version of bass doesn't seem to have made a difference. I'm only using MSE, so I don't think it's an AV issue. I haven't seen any odd performance spikes while the stuttering occurs, but I'll keep an eye on it and report if I do.

Specs:
Windows 10 Pro x64 v1709 build 16299.248
Intel i5-4690
16GB RAM
Library stored on a 7200 RPM drive

nothing has changed on the musicbee side but the patch version is using a newer version of bass.dll

this is the older version:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ngl5t3u71qoqbbj/bass.dll

replace the bass.dll in the folder where MB is installed.

Also other people have reported stuttering which has been solved by putting MB in their security software whitelist

Questions / Music Explorer Profile tab broken with Groove API shutdown
« on: January 06, 2018, 08:00:26 AM »
Probably due to Microsoft shutting down Groove/Xbox Music, the API used for artist profile information under the Music Explorer is inactive.

This results in the error message:
Quote
Unable to retrieve the data from Xbox Music - try again later
{"Error":{"ErrorCode":"API_DISABLED","Description":"This API is now disabled","Message":"This API is now disabled, please visit https://aka.ms/groovePartnerFaq for more information"}}

Perhaps similar functionality could be gained from Last.FM or Wikipedia?

MusicBee Wishlist / Multi-CD ripping
« on: July 13, 2014, 06:19:10 AM »
I realize that this may not be a common request, with the majority of computer users only having one disk drive, but for those of us with 2+ CD drives, it would be really nice to be able to rip/burn multiple disks at once. I don't even think any UI changes would be necessary for this, just the allowance visually and programatically for multiple instances of the CD rip/burn dialogues and underlying processes. Pretty please?  :)
