Yup! Mine has discordbee, media control, and theater mode all active but no longer freezing up since the latest update.. I'm also running a fairly recent W11 build.

Your version of Windows is nearly 5 years old if you're on 1709, maybe that might not be helping?

Apologies for the bump on an older post, but I might have an idea as to what reproduces it. I've noticed since upgrading to Win11 that anytime the monitor configuration changes (including a sleep/lock) this MusicBee lockup seems to occur.

That said, since using the latest version - 3.5.8296 (recently updated from 8249)and I have not been able to reproduce it as easily, so that's a good sign!

Oh, no problem. Just was curious if it was or wasn't. Thank you!

Small one time bump, hopefully that's okay.

Questions / Main Panel - Album Art on the Right Side
« on: September 04, 2017, 12:09:12 AM »
I apologize in advance if this is a simple fix, but I couldn't find this change documented or asked about. I upgraded to the 3.1 3rd candidate, and I noticed album art shifted to the left, and I cannot find the option to revert to the right side in the main panel for album art. Thank you!

Bug Reports / Re: Trojan warning in latest MB version
« on: May 08, 2016, 09:00:55 PM »
On mine personally, I'm getting a "Trojan:Win32/Fethar.B!cl" notification. Which is very odd indeed. I'll just try updating definitions again later and see if that fixes it.

EDIT: It seems being even one definition update behind seems to cause that false positive, at least on Windows Defender. Doesn't pop up again after it is updated, thankfully.

unzip this into the folder MB is installed:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5zszq7xfxucppvc/MusicBeeDebugBorders.zip

it will create entries in the error log and as soon as you notice it has happened, open the error log (help/ support/ view error log) and send me a zip of the file

Hey Steven, I'm wondering if there was an odd fluke in my system, as I haven't had it happen a single time today, nor have I experienced the bug with the audio indicator, so I'll keep the debug version for now and let you know in this post if it does happen again. Thanks for all the help!

Oh yes, I do, that's a good point. I could if it helps you out!

In regards to the playing icon, it will show the little icon on the track before it, while it displays properly elsewhere. I'm still playing around with it to see if I can reproduce it reliably, as it is somewhat inconsistent. From what I can tell so far, it's only when the songs are left to play, as manually going forward doesn't produce the issue.

Here is a screenshot of the second thing: http://imgur.com/hw5UpXv.
It's a bit harder to see in a screenshot, but in this, it just happened. You can see the window behind it, which was Excel, on the sides. Not certain what's causing that.

Mhmm, thought that was the issue, since it had happened in the past, but it is checked as well, I just checked to make sure.

At the moment, I'm on Windows 10, with the most current revision of 3.0. (3.0.5954)

The first of the two is how the little playing icon next to music in the album art view that is present on each song seems to get stuck on the one before it, unless a file tag edit is made. Very minor, but figured I'd just say something about it.

The other one is a bit more annoying, but still doesn't break anything, for some reason, my borders on MusicBee randomly disappear, leaving space I can see my background through on the left and right sides, shaped like |_|. At first I thought maybe DisplayFusion had something to do with it, or when my wallpapers change, but it doesn't seem consistent with either. Any thoughts? Thanks again for all your hard work Steven.

Hey Steven, having just a slight problem with the latest version. (3.0.5871) On 2.5, the 'playing tracks' on the right sidebar allowed a drag to select feature. Trying this same feature on this version isn't allowing the same thing, unfortunately. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
do you mean "playback follows cursor" ?
otherwise i dont know what you mean
I don't believe so. For example, say I have 4 songs on the "playing tracks" section, and I wanted to rearrange two of those without using ctrl or similar method. Before, you were able to just drag and select with the mouse like two songs, and then they would be selected and draggable. Hopefully that's a bit clearer? I've also included a mixtape webm link to clarify: https://my.mixtape.moe/isvskq.webm

Oh, to clarify because my webm seems to communicate otherwise, dragging the songs to new positions in the queue works, just not multi-selection dragging.

3.0 is looking great so far, thanks for all your hard work!

Unfortunately not on that first point, that's the first place I checked. It is set to "embed picture in the music file". As for auto-organization, I only have it set up to move the music files from my main SSD onto an external. Upon further inspection, it also has "also move remaining non-media files" unchecked. So neither of those are checked, although I completely forgot about auto-organize in the settings, so thanks for reminding me about that, haha.

However, the 'Set Retrieval Filter' button seemed promising, I unchecked all but embedded, and will see how that pans out.

EDIT: From further testing, it seems the retrieval filter was causing the cover.jpg to be pulled along with the files for some reason. I've now tried 4 albums with cover.jpg's in it, none have traveled with it. Thanks for all your help Bee-liever.
