General Discussions / Thousands of files listed as "Unknown" and "May Be Corrupted" but play fine.

Hi Everybody! As you can see, I have a large collection of @ 184K tracks, mostly Flac. I got all my sections and columns the way I like thanks to folks here in the forums. But this one thing is bugging me.

Under artists column, 15,787 are listed as UNKNOWN and they also say UNKNOWN BITRATE (although I checked the file properties and bitrates are listed there).

When I hover over the exclamation symbol, most say that the file "May Be Corrupted." (I also check the tags and the tags are fine).

But when I right click and locate the same file in Windows file explorer (or navigate within MB to the track) and hit PLAY, it plays in MB just fine!

Any idea what's going on or how I can get over 15K files to stop displaying as Unknown?

Questions / Column not displaying properly

Newb here, loving MB so far. This is no biggie, just something that OCD types like me would notice. The TIME column in the Main Panel seems to be the only column that is right-justified. All other column headers and data in those columns display along the left side of the columns. Is there a setting where I can fix this or can it be adjusted? Not sure if others are seeing the column displayed the same way? Thanks!

Questions / Help with customizing and configuring panels

Newb here, hoping someone can help me configure a panel similar to my Winamp config (shown below). If you simply clicked the Albums column header within that panel, it would automatically sort a list of artists based on the number of albums, from high to low. Likewise, if you simply clicked the Tracks column header within that panel, it would automatically sort a list of artists based on the number of tracks, from high to low.

Can I set up a panel in MB in the exact same way, so it will sort by number of albums and tracks by clicking a column header?

*** UPDATE: With the help and tips below I was able to sort the Artist Column Browser by Track Count, as it does in the Thumbnail Browser (if thumbs are displayed). Now, I am just looking for a way to sort Artists in the same way except by Album Count! Thanks!

Questions / Need help with ID tags

Not very tech savvy newb here. Recently switched from Winamp to MB to manage my massive music collection, which is mostly FLAC and some mp3 files.

Since switching to MB, I've noticed a lot more files are showing up with no tags. I know zilch about tag "versions" but is there a preferred setting or anything I can do that will help read more files?

That brings me to my second question. I also see that MB is capable of auto-tagging from online sources. I saw 4 sources listed somewhere on the MB site but  when I go to preferences, the only option I see is Musicbrainz. How do I get more options?

The only option I could find in the forum was to add Discogs, so I followed instructions and unpacked the zip file mb_discogs.dll into the MB main program folder and it's not working. Was it supposed to go into a subfolder?

Questions / Need help with UI and panel configuration

Hi everybody and happy new year!

Newb here. I've been using Winamp since dinosaurs first roamed the earth. I've heard great things about MB and decided to try it. I am not very tech-savvy but I have managed to install and load my library with no problems. I also found a skin I liked and did some minor tweaks in the panel configuration. I'm really used to my old winamp layout (I think I used a version of bento) and I'm trying to configure the panels in MB in a similar way. I've read through the anatomy article and other threads.

So here is my specific question: Is there a way I can configure what I think is the MAIN panel (in my screenshot below) to show these specific columns from L to R:
Artist
Album
Track #
Track Title
Track Length
Track Bitrate
Year

Thank you in advance for your help. Again, I'm not very tech savvy, so if you can help me, please make the instructions for dummies. THANKS!
