Bug Reports / Only 44.1 k without resampling?

Hi,
 Using external DAC - Qutest. He recognize the sample size and indicate by a color code the value of it (checked - working fine).
 In Music Bee if i'm not resampling the only sample size he receive is 44.1 although i have files at 96 k. (with WASAPI exclusive output)
 If I select resampling all files are sent to DAC at the chosen value.
Am i wrong understanding that the player is reading / processing all files at 44.1? And after that - eventually - is doing the resampling?
By resampling I understand the same thing as up-sampling - am i wrong?
Would not be more truthful to the source to play the 96k files at 96 without resampling since they already have that much info in the file. (I'm guessing the resampling work by just adding (more or less) computed data.)

Bug Reports / ASIO - "Unable to start playback"

Hi,
I'm using an external DAC: Qutest Chord.
When setting ASIO (in Music Bee) the player refuse to play with message "Unable to start playback". Reinstalled the Qutest driver - with ASIO. Updated player to the  last version. Same result.

Is there anyone who have the time to tell me how to access the MB DB with an SQL tool?
Or it it's already an article somewhere about it? I've searched the forum without much success.

Hi, congrats for this player!

It might be outside your interest area but I'll try:

1. -- resampling - can be done only for what is under the selected sample rate? if i choose resampling to 96k and i have files over 96k i'd like those to be excepted by default.

2. This is just a curiosity and only you are the one who can answer: is there a quality difference between ASIO and WASAPI? Not about other signals that might get in the mix, but as clarity for the player sound - is it downgraded from ASIO to WASAPI?

3. For donation - you might want to change the button label on the site "donate with paypal". (i did not use it - the button - since i do not use paypal, but in the end i found out that it also offer other type of payment - and also maybe put it in site menu (in help category): yesterday i only search for it there )

4. it seems that is already possible, i will look for it on other forum section.
 -- I'd like to be able to access the MusicBee DB with an SQL tool. (sorry, if it's already in place - i did not search if this is possible before asking)

Hi, nice player.
There is one annoying thing - i use to do other stuff when listening HQ music at (over ASIO) - gaming or short gifs with sound on 9gag...
It's not fun to close the app just for 2-3 second for a gif.
I understand that the source is exclusive, but that exclusivity can be broken when the player is idle, and the resource be reclaimed when starting playing again. Audirvana has this option as a button - to release the resource, i'm guessing that it can be taken to next level - that button to release the resource to be triggered by "pause" or "stop" buttons from the player.

Questions / Tag Update from Files

Hi,
I've just discovered this player, it's almost awesome
And I am not able to find out how to update the app database when updating tags on files.
It's much easier to update tags from Library>Computer section (having the names of the artist / album on the folders).
But after doing that in section Library>Music / Playlist those songs remain non-tagged.
I've tried Tools-Advanced-Rescan and Synch tags but that did not updated the new tags from files to app database.
Is there a way to do that?
