Questions / Playing tracks in Mini mode stuck on Track w/ Thumbnail
« on: June 05, 2021, 02:22:37 AM »
A while ago I updated Musicbee to a "patched" version of v3.4 (found here) trying to troubleshoot a different problem, but ever since then the track list in mini mode has been stuck on "Track with Thumbnail" regardless of what layout setting I use.
Today I updated to v3.4.7805 via the latest installer, but this issue still persists.
The panel layout settings work fine in the standard full player, it's only the mini player that ignores the setting.

Is this an issue that only I'm experiencing, maybe because of that patch?
And is there anyway to fix it?

Questions / Way to change how MusicBee "interprets" filenames?
« on: March 20, 2021, 08:14:31 AM »
MusicBee seems to have a feature that interprets specific filenames as tags, but in my specific use case, it's proving to be unhelpful.
Is there any option to disable this?
I tried looking through the settings myself, but couldn't find anything.

For context, I use youtube-dl to download tracks from SiIvaGunner, and the filename contains the video's title, which is formatted like this:
[song name] - [game name]

However MusicBee picks up on the " - " in the filename, and seems to interpret it like this:
[album/artist name] - [song name]

All it really does is strip the actual track name, which means I can't search for them, and changes the sort order.
I know this could also be solved by manually tagging the tracks and I do plan on doing that, but if there was a way to disable this feature, then I could at least search for tracks in the temporary folder before I do tag them.

Questions / Tracks ending a second early
« on: December 19, 2020, 12:23:15 AM »
This is an issue I've been having for some time now, I thought I solved it by tweaking a setting, but it seems to be back.
It's hard to tell how often it happens, but at least some tracks seem to end up to a second earlier than their actual runtime, cutting the end of the track off.
I've tried playing around with settings, but even adding 3 seconds of silence after each track doesn't fix this, and in fact doesn't seem to do anything at all.

It's not an issue with specific music tracks though, as windows media player correctly plays the full track.
What could be causing this issue, and how might I solve it?
