Questions / [SOLVED] AutoPlaylist RULES Export
« on: February 21, 2020, 05:13:17 PM »
Hello all,

Is there a way to export the RULES I've created for auto-playlists? Some I've created on my own, some I've gotten ideas from here. Some are complicated enough that I don't think I'd be able to easily reproduce without all the trial and error I've already gone through, so I'd love to be able to back these up. Is there a way to do that? Again, I'm not looking to export the list or the files but rather the RULES.

Thanks!

Hello all!

I was updating my album covers and everything was going well when suddenly all of them started giving the above error. Now, even if I go back to some of the ones it found an hour ago it doesn't work. It doesn't seem to actually search either, I get the error immediately after clicking the search. All the other internet related functions seem to work well, including auto-tag by album.

I found an old post that said to disable fanart because they were having server trouble then. I tried that with each option. I disabled all but one at a time to see if my results would be different, but none of the 4 worked.

I am on version 3.3.710. Windows 10. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Update: It seems I made a mistake earlier, it is not all searches. It doesn't find any search or find any album under "Various Artists". I can find albums under individual artist names. Is this intentional?

MusicBee Wishlist / Auto Playlist Rule for "Original Year"
« on: December 19, 2019, 04:36:00 PM »
Hi!

Loving MB so far.  :D

Request 1: In the Auto Playlist rules, there is an option for "Original Year". I would love to see the condition include "in range". Currently for "Original Year" you have to add 2 separate rules to accomplish this: "is before" and "is after". "Year (YYYY)" and "Year" both include that parameter but Original Year does not. In fact, It would be nice if all the Date related tags had this "in range" option.

Request 2: I imagine the above would mostly be used for decade auto playlists. While there is the very handy "Decade" option in the rules, this uses the Year tag. Would it, then, perhaps be easier to create a second decade option that uses the Original Year tag. For example "Decade (Original)". In that case, then request one may not be necessary..

Just my thoughts.

Thanks again for this wonderful software!

Questions / Last Added Auto Playlist (not Recently Added)
« on: December 19, 2019, 02:25:25 PM »
Hello everyone,

Recently started using musicbee, coming from itunes and I aboslutely love it! THANK YOU! Looking fw to being a part of this community :D

I have seen plenty of poss regarding "Recently Added" playlists but I was hoping to find out if it's possible to create and auto playlist for Last added. Recently works nicely, for example, if i choose in the last 3 weeks. However, If I don't add anything for 3 weeks I'm assuming it will be blank, so I'm looking for something that will always generate, for exmaple, the last 50 tracks added. When I look at the rules for "Date added" I couldn't figure out a way.

Anyway have suggestions?

Thanks,

AR

Edit: Another question, I made several "Decade" based auto playlists. Is there a way for it to read "Original Date" tag? For example, I have some compilation albums for the Beatles so I would like those to show in their original decade instead of when the album was published.
