Is there any reason why a track or tracks would not be played? I ask because even though I have set shuffle to 'recently added tracks preferred', I am not hearing them.

I will do my best to explain this tedious and somewhat complicated problem of not being able to get album art displayed correctly, or at all:

- Most of the time when a track is played, no cover art is displayed, which is annoying because I like to see cover art.
- When no cover art is displayed, sometimes there is something I can do about it: by choosing the.jpg I put in the album folder. But sometimes there is nothing I can do about it because there is no .jpg in the folder and it can't ever find an image using Search Internet for Picture.
-When there is a .jpg in the folder, sometimes there is just the one .jpg that I put there, but more often than not there is not just the .jpg but two other images that MusicBee keeps creating/duplicating on its own, called Cover and folder (I think only Cover starts with a capital letter). I keep deleting these duplicate images but most of the time it recreates them.

So my questions are:
1. Why do tracks play mostly without album art being displayed?
2. Why does MusicBee most often keep duplicating my .jpgs as Cover and folder? I keep deleting them but most often they keep reappearing.

I hope I have explained this clunky problem in a manner that can be understood. It's very frustrating and am guessing has to do with my image settings.

All tracks in shuffle mode are eventually played at some point, correct? Although it could be weeks before you hear a particular track? I ask because I have over 23k files and just added a series of four CDs but have not heard one track from them.

This is complicated but I will try and explain it the best I can. MusicBee completely changed the way music is organized on my computer, and I have no idea why.

Before, I had 500 albums in the Music folder on my hard drive: https://imgur.com/n49DVW4

Now, there are 1,787 folders (now broken out by artist) in the MusicBee folder: https://imgur.com/a/oeRbvtU

The original album folder I was using is now shells (empty folders with album artwork but no mp3s).

Is the only way to revert to the previous mode to individually drag each album from MusicBee back to my albums folder? ?

I don't know what happened but this is a drag as I preferred my previous arrangement.

Hi.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making MusicBee. It has saved my life. Not only is it a great alternative to Windows Media Player, that I've been using for what, 25 years, but it's seemingly the only one.

I now have more than 12k mp3s, but WMP will not store more than 10k on my shuffle playlist. Annoying af. So now do I not only get to enjoy all my mp3s but the internet feed is fantastic and refreshing. I am learning new things about the music I have been listening to for decades. I also dig the notification popups that save me having to go to the player to see what's playing.

Thanks again for a great (and supported) product. I'm surprised it's free. Can we donate?
