Bug Reports / 3.3 Auto pick panel colors.
« on: November 11, 2018, 04:51:21 PM »
Hello,

I selected the option auto pick panel colors, didn't like the result and then unticked it. Musicbee crashed. When restarting, the panel colors were back to normal. I repeated the procedure with the exact same results.

First, it asked me for the preferred language. Then there is this file created (see below) and an error saying the type initializer for 'musicbee.keyboardhandler' threw an exception.

Questions / Musicbee won't start (nothing to do with avast)
« on: June 24, 2018, 01:56:48 PM »
Hello,

Recently my computer is acting up, something to do with video and probably a defective VDU. Sometimes crashed occur. Lately, Musicbee crashed with the audio in a stutter-loop. I had to stop it from the task manager.

Since that point, Musicbee does not start anymore! :(

I did restart, reinstall musicbee (but not completely remove it before, is that safe for my libary and playlists?) but to no avail. It shows the splash screen, but stops loading there. The taskmanager tells me 'not responding' and taking about 35% CPU and a varying amount of RAM.

What can I do to get my beloved music player back up and running again?

Bug Reports / Musicbee has stopped working
« on: September 20, 2017, 07:29:06 AM »
I get Musicbee has stopped working a lot since the last release candidate before 3.1 final. It happens often when I am not around, the program is running but not playing. Before that point it almost never happened.

MusicBee Wishlist / Remove silence option when burning a disc
« on: January 15, 2015, 07:33:46 PM »
Dear Steven,

When I listen to a playlist that's intended to be without gaps (using the wonderful remove silence option) I would definitely want the same when I burn a disc! Could an option for this please be implemented? Just a tick box next to the 'Level volume' option would be absolutely fantastic! Or otherwise, as you see it would be best. :)

Cheers!

MusicBee Wishlist / Closing MusicBee
« on: November 23, 2014, 02:50:33 PM »
Dear Steven,

I would be nice if MusicBee, or the standard skin, would acknowledge it when the user clicks on the close application 'X'. It takes awhile for the program to shut down and for these few seconds you just feel that you don't get a response. Just a little flick of the button when one clicks it (like the standard windows behaviour) would suffice.

Thank you once again for this perfect piece of software.

Cheers.

MusicBee Wishlist / Duplicates deletion selection
« on: December 04, 2012, 08:55:25 PM »
Hello,

I think it would be beautiful if MusicBee, upon selection of duplicates to be deleted, would check the filenames. Duplicates are often marked with _1, _2 and so on (MusicBee does this too). The original files should be kept, not the ones with the markings, by default (right now this seems random.) Not only is this more neat, it also greatly enhances the change that playlists will remain intact, which is of great importance in my view. :)

Thank you.

MusicBee Wishlist / Add to library function in explorer context menu
« on: December 03, 2012, 08:46:59 PM »
Hello,

I think the subject explains it all. This would be very sweet to have. Clean, quick and simple. No more dragging and switching windows around.

Cheers!

MusicBee Wishlist / seperated sort options for each playlist
« on: October 03, 2012, 06:56:19 PM »
hello,

here's one i would love to see incorporated in a new version of musicbee: a sort option that gets memorized for each playlist. like in itunes. right now, if i have one playlist that's sorted by album, and another that sorted by #, i have to correct the sorting every single time that i go to a different playlist, because the preference is global to all playlists. i hope this can be fixed, that would be great.

all the best,
9ido.

hello,

i have a request. when i add new files to a playlist in the media library, could these files directly be added to my media library (and processed, if required?)

right now i have to either way add them to the library, then find them, then add them to the playlist; or add them to the playlist and then manually add them to the library and move them to the music folder.

since i do this a lot, it would be great for me if this process was automated.

thank you very much.

all the best,
guido.

MusicBee Wishlist / skipping on the progress bar
« on: June 24, 2012, 09:49:08 AM »
hello,

another small request that would (in my opinion) make musicbee even more elegant,

when i skip a piece of a track with my mouse on the progress bar, ticks are heard (obviously from the sample suddenly going to a very different point.) can you fix this?

all the best,
guido.

MusicBee Wishlist / A-Z jumpbar
« on: June 24, 2012, 09:12:37 AM »
hello,

just a small request. a button (preferably next to the search box) to show the a-z jumpbar (or to have it listed in the command buttons list would also be fine, maybe even better!)

btw, the behaviour that you select 'show a-z jumpbar' in config>layout>main panel and then close it (x) is a bit strange. the config still has the option enabled. i think there should be an easy way to get it back, and i suppose the button i suggested should not appear when 'show a-z jumpbar' is disabled in the config.

also, i think an option to have the a-z jumpbar 'hide in playlists' would be a good thing.

i hope you will think this over. ;)

cheers,
guido.

ps. i discovered a microscopic 'bug'. when the sort-field of a playlist is 'playlist number' the a-z jumpbar functionality does not work, it seems to go to some random place, even if the 'playlist number' order is actually alphabetic. it doesn't seem of any importance at all, not even a real bug, but i thought i mention it anyway. this is in the latests 2.0 beta.
