MusicBee Wishlist / Skipping Tracks stay paused if Pause is active
« on: March 01, 2022, 12:51:54 PM »
Wasn't sure how to word the title there...!

Hope this isn't too petty for the wishlist, figure it might be an easy option but what do I know about how it all works!

Basically, this is for when I've got my whole library on shuffle and want to skip through a few tracks to find the right song (that fits my moooood). So if the current song is paused, when I skip tracks it stays paused until I hit play again.
Think it's ingrained within me from players from my past..

That is alllll, thank you!

Questions / Skip to next track stays paused.
« on: February 22, 2022, 12:58:35 PM »
Hello everyone,

Just wondering whether there's a way to STAY PAUSED when I skip to the next track when my current track is paused?
So the next track doesn't start automatically?

Thanks!

Portable Devices / Duplicate songs from Playlists
« on: February 15, 2022, 04:17:48 PM »
Hello!

Was trying to get my head around syncing MusicBee with my android phone.
I use MediaMonkey on my phone, and if I sync a playlist, the songs on that playlist would then be doubled in the album in question.

"Your selections here are additive. If you choose to sync some playlists and some folders, MusicBee will sync all the files in the playlists AND all the files in the folders."

I believe that's what this line is referring to.

I've spent the best part of 4/5 years now without playlists, but want to try and find a way to make it work.

Any suggestions?

Only thing I can think of is switching my MusicBee to MediaMonkey, although I'm not sure even that would solve the problem..

Questions / MusicBee updating every song after playing
« on: February 15, 2020, 11:27:03 AM »
Hey guys,

After every song plays, MusicBee updates the song for some reason and I have the little notification "1 file has been updated" on the bottom. Sometimes it does it with a whole album.
I don't have "continuously monitor library" ticked or anything I know of. It's just a curious little happening, and I don't know why or how to stop it.

The thing is, most of the time, when a next track starts, it starts for just about a second, then re-starts. That is the annoying thing.
Any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Questions / Playlist folder not updating
« on: January 06, 2020, 05:34:08 PM »
Hello!

I've been creating new playlists, but they do not appear in the "playlist" folder in my library.
Any help with that?
Also, is there any way to check if those mbp files are being updated?

Thanks!

Questions / Sorting an Album multiple artists
« on: December 24, 2019, 01:25:34 PM »
Hello,

I have a Marvin Gaye greatist hits album with various songs under the artist "Marvin Gaye & Diana Ross", or "Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell" (etc.). In my library, the album is sorted through Artist name rather than track number. How can I get musicbee to either ignore the "& ..." part of, sort only on track number?
I've tried a few things but nothing seems to work!

Thank you!

Questions / Library not reorganising itself
« on: December 16, 2019, 03:53:45 PM »
Hello!

Hopefully, this is a quick and easy fix, something I've missed.

I've recently changed laptop, reinstalled Musicbee, and put my music back on. I've been going through it organising stuff, but I'm changing an album, artist, or album artist name, and even though "Auto Organise" is ticked and on, it's not moving the file in my library.

So say I change "Christine and the Queens" to "Christine & The Queens", it should change the folder name in the library (that's what it used to do for me anyways..). It's not doing it anymore.

Any help?

Thanks!

Questions / Restoring without MusicBee
« on: September 16, 2019, 08:28:08 PM »
Hey guys,

I use MusicBee with an External Hard Drive. That is to say MusicBee is on my laptop but all my music is on my external hard drive. The last few questions, it has been fucking up loooooads. What "it" is I can't be sure yet. I thought and assumed it was my hard drive but recently I'm doubting. I figured I'd re-install MusicBee to solve the problem. However, I can't use the standard "Back-up Library" option because by the time I try to get to that point, MusicBee crashes / my hard drive crashes, it's hard to determine which one.

So my question is: can I do it manually? Can I get to the files I need and Copy them to Backup Folders without going through MusicBee?
Can anyone help me?
If I do this, either everything will be alright, or I need to get my hard drive fixed....

Thanks!

Questions / Can't drag and drop files into library
« on: June 24, 2019, 06:47:07 PM »
Hey guys,

I recently formatted my laptop and then re-installed MusicBee, managed to get all my files back in the same place where they were and most things were functional and alright but I had a few issues.
One of those is the inability to drag and drop files into my library. I do not use the inbox at all. I used to be able to just drag files into my library, where they'd get sorted by the "automatically organise my library" setting and then I would edit them if I chose to.
Now I have to manually "Add files to Library" everytime I want to add a music folder...
Any thoughts and help?

Cheers

Bug Reports / MusicBee keeps starting up on the same song
« on: March 11, 2019, 04:37:56 PM »
Hello,

I'm new to the forum but had to come here because I haven't been able to fix my problem!
Formatted my laptop so I had to re-install MusicBee and managed to get my whole library and playlists back without a hitch. But every time I open MusicBee, it opens to the same song, and when I check the "resume position" in the player options in Preferences, and apply/save it, it doesn't save it because when I close and reopen MusicBee, it's back to the same song and settings.

Can anyone help me?
I'm on MusicBee version 3.2.6827 apparently!

Thanks
