MusicBee Wishlist / How to just blacklist a folder?
« on: October 17, 2019, 06:43:33 PM »
Not a major problem, just a query.

All of my library is in one folder with subfolders i.e. Music>*Artist*>*Album*>*Tracks*. However I have one folder of loose tracks which I need in this Music folder, but I don't want it added to my library. Other than using a filter to just hide the tracks from my library, is there any way of making Musicbee skip the folder entirely on both automatic and manual scans?

P.S. to be clear, selecting every folder except that one in the "Choose folders..." prompt won't work for me here, because I'm constantly adding new folders and subfolders, and so I'd have to reopen the prompt each time to check off the new folders.

Cheers :)

Questions / Merge modified albums which are sorted as date added
« on: September 21, 2017, 07:01:02 PM »
I use album cover view sorted by Date Added/Year. If I have an album, then I rename one file, is there any way that the whole album is re-added as a new entry on scan? I used to have it set up this way and it workd fine, but since updating to 3.1 I seem to have disabled it and I don't know how to re-enable it.

this is an example of what I mean, the artist/album tags are identical and it's in the same directory, and they were all together as one album before - all I did was rename one file so they've split up. I'd like it so they're all automatically put together on re-scan. Thank you.

..and not just Album and Tracks layout. It's hard to really articulate what I mean but this was a chooseable option in v2.5 - http://i.imgur.com/UD0OKW3.png.

This is the only thing still keeping me on v2.5 because I used Artwork layout and use the search, to find specific songs, many times in any given day.

It's not a huge deal because v2.5 is still working fine for me, but please consider it. Thanks!

edit- it's in the latest version, thanks Steven!

Sorry for the complicated title.

I used to have Musicbee set up to show my track numbers like ##/## with the disc numbers before that - so for example, track 12 on a 14 track album on disc 2 of the album would look like 02-12/14. For the life of me I simply can't remember how I set it up like this, and I'd appreciate help in doing so again. Thank you!

P.S. also if someone can tell me how to increase the padding between albums in artwork view, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks again.
