I have 3 audio devices attached to my PC. One of which is a USB headphone amp that I always unplug when not in use. If I remove said device and check which device MB has selected in preferences. A different device to the one that is actually now playing is selected. I know this because the device that "appears" to be selected device does not have any output physically connected to it yet I can still hear music playing through my speakers.

It might be useful to know that I always use WASAPI exclusive event mode therefore this is unlikely to be a Windows audio device routing thing.

Last minute edit: MB seems to default to selecting the first item in the drop down box(default behaviour of the control?).

Questions / WASAPI and Windows volume control
« on: July 30, 2019, 04:00:15 AM »
I recently noticed that while using MB and WASAPI (exclusive) that the Windows volume control is still functional. Is this the expected behavior? I assumed it would be bypassed.

Bug Reports / Inconsistent EQ sound.
« on: March 08, 2018, 11:38:57 PM »
If you select an EQ preset, although the sound changes slightly, the changes aren't properly implemented until you switch it off and then on again. Also switching tracks effects it too.

Try it with something like the loudness EQ that has a dramatic enough effect to be able to tell the difference.

Bug Reports / Equalizer Presets
« on: November 11, 2017, 12:22:29 PM »
Using MB 3.1.6512

MB doesn't appear to be able to find any new presets that I save and place in the usual EQ path. Presets I saved quite a while ago show up just fine.

Bug Reports / Two Tracks Playing Simulaneously
« on: November 16, 2016, 05:03:49 PM »
I deleted an album from my library while one of the tracks was still playing. rather than stopping playback MB played another random track (4/11, shuffle wasn't active) from the album and notified me that it hadn't been deleted, fair enough, I should really have stopped playback first. I then proceeded to play another track from a different album to release the aforementioned one for deletion, at which time MB continued to pay the previous track and my new selection at the same time. Pause> play continued to play both tracks.

Not sure if it's relevant but my output device is wasapi.

Questions / Couple of Questions
« on: April 04, 2014, 11:17:27 AM »
So I've trying for a while to convert to AAC with MusicBee to no avail. Is anybody able to take my encoder parameters from below and format them to work with MB? They work with Foobar with just the filename parameter passed in addition to what's here.

-V64 --no-optimize -o

My second question is also regarding AAC. Does MB have an optimize mp4 feature like Foobar and Mp3Tag have?
