Questions / Does MusicBee save multiple genre values in seperate tags?
« on: November 22, 2020, 06:47:03 AM »
I guess it uses a null character to seperate the multiple values in a single TCON tag. But it's kind of confusing because in Tag Inspector they are shown as several seperate TCON tags. I just wanted to know for sure. Does MusicBee save multiple values in separate tags, or in a single tag separated by null characters?

Bug Reports / genre tagging is broken
« on: April 11, 2019, 10:15:19 AM »
"Update Tags using Tag Cloud" option returns no updates. However, it works when "retrieve artist genres only" is checked under "Preferences > Tags (2)". Tagging genre by album doesn't seem to work anymore.

Questions / How to display unsynchronized lyrics instead of synchronized?
« on: September 30, 2018, 03:25:49 PM »
I have both synchronized and unsynchronized lyrics embedded in my music files, and I have set the minilyrics plugin to display synchronized lyrics in it's native floating window. But MB also displays the synchronized lyrics by default. This is redundant. I can't find any option to change this behaviour. Is there any way to give priority to unsynchronized lyrics?

It's so annoying when dealing with the tracks with multiple artists.

for example: Steven Wilson feat. Ninet Tayeb creates a new artist in my library and records the scrobbles under that name instead of Steven Wilson. So the scrobbles are divided between these two names, Steven Wilson doesn't get the love he deserves and my library becomes inconsistent.
This becomes unbearable with soundtrack albums where there are so many guest artists, different ones for each track. The album gets butchered!

If we could get an option to use the first ARTIST value for scrobbling, it would be very convenient. I could edit the DISPLAY ARTIST field to show only the main artist but I don't wanna lose information. I wonder if I'm the only one having this problem...

Questions / [Solved] Can't fetch artworks from anymore
« on: July 05, 2018, 09:34:26 AM »
It worked until two or three days ago. But now it says "no match" whenever I try to tag my files. Other sources are working fine. I reported this to Discog and asked if it's something to do with the API. This was Kode's response:

"I might be wrong, but the only thing I can think of is one of the streaming services the MPAA asked us to disable the key of was using the MusicBee API key rather than one of their own.  In which case MusicBee would just need to generate a new one."

And he asked if I know what MusicBee's API key is. Well, I don't. Is there a possible solution for this guys? Or is it just me that have this problem?
