Questions / Files available in playlists, but not showing in library

There are many files that I can't locate in my library, either by manually browsing or searching. I'm pretty sure they're actually there though, because I can see and play the ones that are in playlists in the same library. The only thing I could think of that could be causing this is some sort of filter, but I don't have one active.

Any other ideas?

Not sure what happened, but after organizing my library, MusicBee can't find anything in my playlists. The title is the only thing there; all other fields are blank. The "Date Added" is also very recent for some reason; even more recent than the reorg. Probably weirdest of all, when I manually point to the correct location, the file works fine in that playlist only until I close MusicBee. Then the "Date Added" resets and I have the same issue.

I can manually recreate all of my playlists, but is there a faster way to repair the existing ones?

Questions / Troubleshooting playlists not being recognized on Android

I can't seem to get any playlists to show up on Android. I've tried various apps, and both playlist formats.

Any other suggestions?

Portable Devices / Playlist weirdness on Android

Hi all,

My music has always synced to my Android and shown up in Google Play Music with no issues, but I had never been able to get the playlists to appear in the app, so I installed Shuttle. Surprisingly, the playlist showed up in Shuttle immediately.
A few days later I added more music and synced again. After that sync, for some reason the playlists disappeared from Shuttle, but they showed up in Google Play Music, so I switched back.
Now I just synced again and my playlists are not showing up in either app.

I haven't changed any settings or anything like that. What could be causing this inconsistency and what can I try to fix it?

Questions / Various album artwork issues

A while back I used the Artwork Downloader to fill in some of my artwork gaps. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I think that added more incorrect artwork (or random photos tagged as artwork) than correct artwork. I've been slowly fixing it over time, and I have the following remaining questions:

-What tags does the Artwork Downloader use to search, and is that editable?
-Some of my files show artwork, but when I go to edit it, the artwork tab is empty. Where is it pulling the image from?
-Especially on albums with various artists (which is a big percentage of my library), it's common for some tracks on the album to have the artwork and others to have none. How can I apply the artwork to the whole album?
-Could I basically delete all of my artwork and start from scratch? If so, how?

Questions / Help identifying missing files

The other day I noticed that a few files from my library were missing. There didn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to which files those were, so I created a new library with the same source folder and it turns out I'm missing 0.6 GB worth of files. I then tried to figure out some way to get MB to identify which files in my initial library could not be played (which is theoretically 0.6 GB worth), but I must have messed up with the Remap Music Folders tool because now I can't play anything from my initial library. The new library, with the exception of being short the missing files, works fine. That doesn't really make sense to me because the current path given by Remap Music Folders is identical between the two libraries.

I guess my questions are these, in order of importance:

1) Is there a way to compare libraries so I can identify which files are not in my newly created library?
2) How can I see what file path MB is using to look for a given file in my library? And if I can fix that, is there an alternate way I can answer question 1 by identifying which files cannot be found in my initial library?
3) Does anyone have any idea what could have caused some of my files to apparently disappear? Like I said, the few I've identified already don't make sense. I have a 40+ track album that is all different artists entirely missing, except for a single song that is there. I hadn't been messing around with reorganization until I noticed this issue.
