Portable Devices / MB Wifi Sync issue: "Server not found"
« on: August 29, 2022, 03:25:52 PM »
Hi,

MB Wifi Sync used to work for 2 years now on a Pixel 4a. I moved to android 11 and then android 12 smoothly, without having to follow BoringName's guideline and compile my own apk.

Wifi Sync doesn't work since I've changed my local network with a new wifi router (Huawei E5577). I've also updated to Android 13 in between, without trying to wireless sync on my old local network. I don't believe Android 13 is an issue at this stage though because I'm facing the error message "Server not found. Ensure MusicBee is running and Windows firewall is not blocking MusicBee".

I've tried many different thing and I'm now running out of idea. Please find below what I've checked so far:
* MB is running
* Local network is set to "private network" and IP addresses are in range "192.168.1.*"
* Network discovery and file sharing are activated
* Public folder sharing and media streaming service are activated
* Sharing secured with password is deactivated
* I do have a connexion open listening on port 0.0.0.0:27304
(sorry for the poor translation, I'm using a french Windows 10)

It is very frustrating because MB Remote app works perfectly fine.

When using the net

I'm desperate and will consider any suggestion :)

Many thanks

Questions / Different random functions not consistent?
« on: March 13, 2021, 12:12:03 PM »
Hi,

I'm not sure that the different ways to randomise a playing tracks list are consistent, but I prefer to check before to claim a dysfonction.

If I set the "shuffle settings" in the "Now Playing" section of the Edit Preferences panel on "random", everything seems to work as it should be.
Nevertheless, if I set it on "different artist" instead, I note that the "shuffle on" mode available in the main player control panel seems to behave like it was set on "same artist" while using "Play Shuffled" from the context menu works as it should be.
On the other side, the "Shuffle List" function available in the playing tracks context menu always seems to behave like a basic random mode no matter the "different/same artist" setting.

Also, I'm surprised that when using "Queue random" on a selection from the context menu, the "shuffle on" mode will actually go through all the first selection in random mode before to play the 2nd "queued random" selection in natural order.

My final goal is to be able to mix different playlists and play the whole aggregated content in a "different artist" random mode.

At the moment, just being able to play them in a basic random mode require either to use the "Shuffle List" function or to "Queue Next/Last" the playlists and then use the "Shuffle On" mode.

Do you notice the same behavior and is it normal or am I missing anything?

Thanks!!

ps: using 3.4.7611

MusicBee Wishlist / Possibility to always start with specific settings
« on: January 23, 2021, 08:19:31 PM »
Hi,

There is apparently no work around yet to always start in "shuffle off" playback mode no matter if it was set in "Shuffle On" or "Auto-DJ" when closed (https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=34084.0).

So I was wondering if we could have an option to always start with specifics registered settings, maybe using the already existing "Settings snapshot" functionality?

Many thanks.

Hi,

I would like to always start MusicBee in "Shuffle Off", no matter if it was set in "Shuffle On" or "Auto-DJ" when closed.

I don't think there is any option for this, but I was thinking that maybe I could find a work around thanks to the Settings Snapshot. Is there any way to always load a Settings Snapshot when starting?

Many thanks,
Adrien.

MusicBee Wishlist / Exported playlist's codepage option
« on: August 22, 2017, 04:43:38 PM »
Hi,

there is already a lot of exported playlist format options but there is one missing : M3U(ansi).

I know there is already an M3U(ascii) option but this one doesn't represent special characters like 'é' which are pretty common.

Unfortunately ANSI is the only supported format by Windows Media Player which is the only tool to synchronize playlist with Google Music.

As it doesn't seem to be too difficult to add it (https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=1223.0) it would be then very much appreciated to have this export format as an option and it would as well offer the one way Google play music synchronization functionality (https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=22615.0)

Many thanks.
