MusicBee Wishlist / Switch player when playback stops

I really like the feature "switch player when playback start" which I use to minimize MusicBee when I'm done selecting music. However, when the playlist ends, I have to manually maximize MusicBee again to select the next song. I hope that the option "switch player when playback stops/pauses" can be added to a future release just like the current one for starting playback.

Bug Reports / Sync goes over 100%

Sometimes Musicbee goes over 100% when syncing: 



Maybe it happens because I sometimes only change the tags and lots of files are renamed, for example this sync shows the same song a couple of times:



The sync itself is successful and it happens in the latest 2.5 version (I haven't upgraded because 3 is still in beta).

Questions / Lyrics displayed to early?

I've been doing a lot of lyrics syncing in an other player and with minilyrics lately but I noticed that in Musicbee the upcoming text always seems to advance a bit to early.

Is there a way to change this in Musicbee without changing the offset value in the file itself? Otherwise it would start displaying to late in the other programs.

MusicBee Wishlist / Autosync delay

Hi,


when I start MB with my music player already connected it automatically starts the synchronization (as configured). However, MB is often still busy detecting added and removed songs and they won't be copied to / deleted from the device, so I have to restart MB (or the sync) to complete it.

So my request is that the sync at startup feature is delayed until MB has stopped processing changes to the library.

MusicBee Wishlist / Periodically sync lastfm playcount

As I scrobble my music on several devices the playcounts in MusicBee do not reflect the actual playcount statistics after a while. It would be nice if these statistics could be periodically updated, for example once every week or month (instead of forcing this manually with turning the feature off and on).

MusicBee Wishlist / Scale artwork in now playing window

I'd like to see an option to scale the artwork automatically instead of entering the number of pixels for the now playing window. This way the art would automatically use the available space when you make changes to the layout or, for example,  switch from maximized layout to windowed.

MusicBee Wishlist / Please add autodj preference for Now Playing window

I took me quite a while to find out why the autodj function was enabled when I selected an artist with a doubleclick as a lot of other artists were automatically added to the now playing window (the icon in the top left corner).

Maybe an option can be added to the now playing preferences page to toggle this, or have I overlooked this option somewhere (in the preferences)?

MusicBee Wishlist / Read-only playlists and undo function

It's easy to forget that you're in a playlist when you select something from your library only to find out later that the playlist is "gone".

My request: make it possible to set a playlist to read-only and add an undo command to easily recover from accidents.

MusicBee Wishlist / Improved Allmusic album and biography lookup.

In Foobar I used two vbs scripts to retrieve the album and biography articles from Allmusic. It would be great if MB could also directly get the article by using similar logic instead of presenting a webpage where you have to search for the correct result.

As far as I can see the scripts just search for the artist and then search the results again for the album or biography info. For me, it nearly always gets the right results and implementing this in MB would make the Allmusic lookups a lot more comfortable.

MusicBee Wishlist / Sort files when adding them to a playlist

Files stored on my NAS get added to MB as served by the folder structure instead of sorted. So an album get get a tracklist of

etc.

instead of a sorted version. Please add a feature to sort the files upon adding. Thanks!

MusicBee Wishlist / Use albumgain when transcoding

I would like to see an option to use the albumgain tag (if present) instead of having Musicbee compute this. This would save time when synchronizing and songs without an album in the tag would get a proper volume.

For a example: when a band has songs which first appeared as a single I don't add an album tag and put them in a singles folder. Because those tracks can have different masterings, applying album gain would produce incorrect results. An other solution would be to calculate track gain when no album info is present. But if a collection has correct album gains (as in my case) I would prefer the first option.

Portable Devices / Musicbee hangs on transcoding specific songs

Hi,


I just installed Musicbee to sync my music collection to my Android's external SDCARD.

As I have lots of lossless files (ALAC) I've configured Musicbee to transcode them. However, Musicbee gets stuck on the encoding of three of them.

The CPU monitor clearly shows all four cores being loaded for 100% when this happens.

When I restart Musicbee again hangs on the same three files thus making it impossible to finish the sync... but easier to debug the problem 

I hope that someone can look into this, thanks!
