General Discussions / solved : artwork does not match storage preferences
« on: September 15, 2017, 12:49:20 PM »
in the artwork manager i came across this filtering option : "does not match storage preferences".

it shows me a few hundred files but i don´t know what this option means.

i tried to search an explanation but i was unable to find one.

can someone please explain.

edit: ok forget it .. i figured it out.

i have installed 3.1.6345 and activated to buffer the whole song in memory.

MB stops working after some time. songs stops playing. MB becomes unresponsive (stop, play, pause commands don´t work anymore).

i can repeat this error.
when i disable the option to buffer the whole file all works fine.

i see there is a error log option in musicbee but how do i enable debugging?

i run win10 64bit with 24 GB ram.

i have updated yesterday to the latest MB fix (3.1.6275).

today i noticed that internet explorer (and edge) is not playing youtube or vimeo videos anymore when MB plays a song.

when a video plays already and i start playing a song in MB the videos immediately wents black.

when i play a song in MB and start IE and try to play a video, i only see the black youtube window and a spinning loading symbol.

when i close MB the video runs again. stop playing a MP3 does not help, i have to close MB and refresh IE.

i have already tried to reset internet explorer to defaults and rebooted... did not help.

chrome and firefox are playing videos fine when MB is running.

don´t know what causes this but i only installed the latest MB version yesterday.

any idea how to fix this?

ps: i thought i may disable the exclusive control in the sound settings but then i get this:

so i have to enable exclusive control or MB will not play at all (error message : unable to initialise the output device BASS_ERROR_FORMAT).

playing videos work in IE and edge when i set the MB output to "direct sound".... but not when i use wasapi.

Bug Reports / bug with filtered folders that are deleted
« on: March 02, 2017, 11:16:51 PM »
i have deleted a folder with the windows explorer that i have set as filtered folder in the MB folder panel.

but it still showed up in the folder panel. even when i deleted it from the folder panel, on the next start it was there again.

to get rid of it i had to choose the unfiltered view in MB and i had to create the folder on the harddrive again.
only then i was able to delete the folder in MB (and on the harddrive).

latest MB version.

Bug Reports / Playback stutter when coyping files.
« on: January 21, 2017, 05:14:13 PM »

as much as i love musicbee (and i do) there is one thing that is worse than with other players i tried.

when i copy files from HDD to HDD or over network, then muscibee begins to stutter or starts to repeat a second of a track.

i have an automatic backup software running that copies files every few hours to a second system.
the files are copied form a seagate barracuda 7200 upm drive to the second system.
the files are mosty photos around 20-30 MB big and usualy size is 2-8 GB overall.

my audio files are on a 1TB samsung 850 SSD (dedicated just for audio files).
i have a fast skylake i7-6700k system with 32gb ram and i am running win10 64 bit.

the buffer size in muscibee is increased to the maximum already.
imho there is no reason that musicbee should be affected by coping these files.

other players are unaffected by the copy processes.

the music is send over GPU HDMI to my AV receiver (no mainboard soundcard involved).

MusicBee Wishlist / CRC32 check for Music Files.
« on: December 08, 2016, 06:10:52 PM »

right now i am using CRC32 (sfv) file in all my album folders to verify that the MP3 files are ok.

the problem is i have to create these files manually whenever i make idTag changes to the MP3 files.

is there a way to make musicbee write CRC32 files onto the harddrive.
or is it maybe possible to write CRC32 checksums into the MP3 header?

i just want to make sure that i can check if the files are corrupted after i burned them or copied them.
but creating CRC32 checksums manually every time after making idTag changes with musicbee is a bit cumbersome.
