Bug Reports / Custom Tag errors: duplicate field displays
« on: March 15, 2018, 08:19:59 AM »
Further to all the help received in these posts:

https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=24642

... there does seem to be an issue with Custom Tags being duplicated (x4 is some cases!) in MusicBee's Library.

On checking this a bit more, it seems MB has handling in place for when using both ID3 and APE tags to stop them from being duplicated when displayed.
But it seems there might be a bug as it doesn't extend to Custom tags and also won't work on inbuilt custom tags if you change the 'display name'.

You might need to post this in the Bugs sub-forum for Steven to see this.

Questions / Custom Tags
« on: March 08, 2018, 09:36:41 AM »
I use <Geographical> and <Intro> and tags in the list view of songs in MB. These are written in MP3Tag and only exist once. However, in MB, they always duplicate (I tried to attach as small screenshot, but it doesn't seem possible). These are definitely not duplicated in the actual song file, so am I mis-configuring the MB set-up somewhere?

Questions / APE v ID3v2
« on: March 08, 2018, 09:29:33 AM »
MB is without doubt the best MP3 organiser, and thanks for that. One issue though: many other pro users of MP3 files, need compatibility with broadcast playout systems which invariably use only APEv2 tags. If you set MB to write to APEv2, then nothing shows up in Explorer windows. If you choose to write to ID3v2, then any file tag written or edited in MB needs to be amended a second time, either in MP3Tag or in the playout software. It's very time-consuming and - worse - if you forget, then the station's website shows no information when the song is played. Is there any reason why MB can't have the user-option to choose to write both formats when a tag is edited, as MP3Tag does?

MusicBee Wishlist / Tags

Is there any way (please!) that MB could be set to write both ID3V2 and APEv2 tags, so that it is usable in both domestic and professional environments? It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't delete the version that it's not set to save!It would be a major plus for those of us working in both areas, as (apart from that hiccup) there is nothing else as good for tag editing.

Questions / Artwork in Radio Station streams
« on: January 20, 2017, 03:11:24 PM »
Is there any way to include station artwork/images when you export your station list? MB seems to 'lose' my artwork links periodically.

Maybe manually editing the .xml file?
