Questions / Exclude from playback don't show songs

I like this feature and it works well in the music library

However in playlists, songs are completely hidden and this is not the same as it's in the music library where songs are visible and marked

Questions / Playing tracks order different from playlist order

I double click the playlist (or part of it) and the order of the songs is not the same as the order of the playlist
How do i get the right order?



Order of track number is correct but albums are ordered by name and not by year

Bug Reports / This must be a bug: Custom views

It would make no sense if it's not a bug, since all other settings are OK
I'm trying to save different views for different playlists. The problem is between 2 playlists: one has Album covers, the other one is based on Artists

In the panel settings i see that both have the same settings even if they are different views but if i create custom views i can changes settings for one and not the the other one....GOOD

The problem is that there is one setting that, if changed for Custom View 1 (Album covers), changes also what i see in Custom view 2 (Artists)
And the settings is the positioning of the tracks (below, on the right,on the bottom etc)
I want them belows the album for album covers and on the right, for artits..but as i said this setting is shared between custom views and not remembered like all other settings i tried

Questions / Same song, 2 different groups

View by tracks, using Grouping Tag for groups
Groups are TV series
One song is in more than one TV serie and i beeeeeep it to be in both groups
I tried to put both names in the tag field but this is the result



PS: no duplicate files, no playlists for each TV serie unless there is a way to expand/collapse folders with a double click (because if i have to may a playlist for each TV serie i need to put them in a folder)

Questions / Artists and Album covers

A lot of things (but almost all of the same type) i don't understand how to do



1 - How do i collapse the empty space? This seems to be caused by allowing text on 2 rows when needed, but if it's not needed, why do i get 2 rows anyway? (RED)
2 - How do i remove/edit the things in the GREEN square?
3 - i found the settings for the Light BLUE square but the first one doesn't remove the line even if it's empty (as you can see). The second one doesn't even have an empty option to choose.
4 - How can i see all albums from an artist without having to click on those arrows to slide? Or at least how can i slide with mousewheel and not clicking on them. (ORANGE)
5 - Nice that i can hide panels depending on which layout i choose, but why i have column browser hiddedn for both Artists and Album covers if i edit only the Artists settings? If i'm watching album covers i need to see also the artist (in the browser)

Questions / Hide unknown

I'm tryng to hide the uknown diciture for tags
I already searched and i got 2 topics and here i found that i have to add

$IsNull(<VirtualTag>,Other,<VirtualTag>)

So i created this virtual tag and sure, i don't <Unknown> anymore, but now i see "Other"....that is the same (it's not hidden)



So i tried to remove Other but i still get that line (empty)

Questions / Access the albums and playlists of the same artist in the same tab

how can i see albums and playlists together??
all i want is to have the chance to play an album or a playlist without having to switch sections

i want the choice between albums and playlist to be the last one and not that, when i'm in MUSIC tab, i have to go to playlist and select again Genre, Group... i'm already there in the MUSIC tab, so just let me choose if i want to see albums or playlists

I can accept also different methods and not playlists. Like if i can quickly launch only my favourite songs of a group i just need to mark those songs and favourite

Questions / Volume doesn't increase

Hello
I can't raise volume..i mean i can move the lever but after 50-60% i can't hear a difference even if i set 100%

On the other hand if i enable logarithmic volume scaling, i get low increase intil i arrive to 70% and then it goes up faster
at 100% voilume is the same with or without logarithmic scaling

how do i get more volume from MusicBee? how do get the same gain of 0%--->50% also for 50%--->100%?

Questions / Just a piece (multiple version of the same song, but just one file)

after years using MusicBee i just discovered i can set a start/finish position for each song (and other fantastic things too).
So i was wondering if it's possible to create playlist with just a piece of the songs. An example could be a playlist of guitar solos, but if i start the song from my library i should be able to listen to the full song
I know i can do it with 2 different files but i don't want to take more space on my disk.

MusicBee Wishlist / Allow to play video and music at the same time

I asked here for support and they told me it's not possibile to do what i was asking for, but then they told some alternative.

So it is technically possibile to not stop the music when a video is opened.

Here i'm asking to allow to open videos with double click (on video extension) without stopping the music.

I would like to use MusicBee also as video library, using an external video player.
So, since it' external...why music stops when i launch a video? can i change this behavior?

Questions / i need help to find the perfect layout

IMPORTANT: i'm not asking for layout suggestion. i already know what i want but i don't know how to do it and if i can do it

Keep in mind that I want to have filters for Genre/Year/Artist without having to browse a lot,without stealing too much space to album covers.

This is the first layout


But i don't like that if an artist have a lot of albums,they are on the same row and i have to manually scroll (not with wheel)
Also i don't like album name and year to be so small!

Then i have this one


but i would like to put "year" under "genere" (in the same column) because i need full column for artits
I also would like to remove the scroll bars since i just use the wheel.

Questions / MusicBee doesn't load all the songs inside a folder

As title says. i don't have to add anything else.
I have 25 songs inside a folder but only 20 in the library
