Questions / Musicbee + MusicIP Auto DJ
« on: January 04, 2016, 12:45:15 PM »
Hi Steven or someone who might give a clue:
I'm a long time user of Auto DJ with the help of MusicIP (see also this thread http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=3602.0)
Now over time my OS has changed from Windows XP, where it worked fine (Musicbee was able to find the MusicIP server all the time, which then presented matching tracks)
to Windows 7 to Windows 10. In Windows 7 a lot of times Musicbee was not able to find MusicIP and in Windows 10 this has even gotten worse.
When selecting "using Musicip" in Auto DJ I get the followoing message: "Unable to access Musicip Mixer - you need to allow MusicIP server access thru your firewall. Try again?"
Trying again and again until finally one time the 2 do get connected, but this does not hold for a long time, as most of the times after a few tracks "No tracks matching . . ." appears.
Disabling the firewall does not change anything in the behaviour.
Could anyone give me a clue as to what to change in the setup to also make this work in Windows 10 reliably?
Thanks and best regards, Gerard
PS. I know Musicip is not supported anymore today but my Musicbee version 2.0.4663 works to my satisfaction still. And maybe there is someone who has this same setup running with a simple patch that I am not aware of . . .
I've already tried other things like changing Musicbee's/MusicIp's OS compatibility settings, no success.
