Questions / Divide function for virtual tag - differing results help
« on: January 07, 2023, 10:13:52 PM »
I created a virtual tag to show the last time a track was played.  Using $NumberOfDays gets me, logically, the number of days the track was last played.  I wanted to show years for any tracks that were last played more than 365 days prior.  In the screenshot below, you can see that for some instances, the formula works, but for others it is still showing days vs years.  Any thoughts as to why?

I love utilizing the Music Explorer tab to find albums from Artists I am listening to or discover new acts that are similar to what I am listening to.  Plus, I'm a bit of an organization nut and tend to be a bit meticulous with tags in my collection.

I would love it if MusicBee was able to separate an Artist's main albums from albums that they appear on (either on a compilation or a featured artist on a song).

If you look at the image below, I have 25 albums (5 below the scroll) that Kanye West is on.  8 are main Kanye albums (if you exclude the collaboration with Jay-Z) and 17 are albums that he appears on.

I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement but if you could add a header for "Main Albums", or another title, then display those albums (where the Artist is identified as Album Artist) and then have an "Appears On" header below the main albums followed by those albums, that would be an awesome addition.

I would also assume that if an artist doesn't have any "Appears On" albums, then that header would not show and vice versa.

Bug Reports / Music Explorer Bug - Wrong Artist
« on: March 13, 2018, 02:05:20 PM »
There seems to be a bug in the Music Explorer view where the Albums & Stats section is an artist behind what is playing.

For example, in the first image, The Roots is the Artist selected (it was the last Artist played), but the Albums & Stats are for Kendrick Lamar, who played before The Roots.  Also notice that Real Estate is the Artist currently playing (more to come with them).

Usually, when I click on the playing now Artist link, the header Artist will change to that Artist but the Albums & Stats changes to the previous Artist.  See image below:

Sometimes, though, the Album & Stats list goes bonkers and shows most, if not all, of my library (I have the sort set by Year (Asc)):

I am on the latest 3.2 build.

Bug Reports / Artist Layout : Album Artist listed in Album dropdown
« on: February 23, 2018, 01:22:04 PM »
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I have my library in the Artist Layout and when you choose an Artist and then click on an album that they appear on, the Album Artist listed under the Album name is the same, even if the Album Artist is someone different.  In the example below, Phonte is a featured artist on the DJ Shadow album.  However, the Album Artist shows Kaytranada, whose album Phonte is also featured on.  It looks like Musicbee is taking the Album Artist for the first alphabetical Album (in this instance 99.9%) and displaying that Album Artist across each entry (Kaytranada shows up as the Album Artist when you click on the Cunninlynquists album).

Likewise, if the first alphabetically listed album by an Artist has an Album Artist of Various Artists, then the Artist listed when you click on the album shows up under every track, as it is different than the displayed Album Artist.  See the image below of The Avett Brothers.

I don't think this is a settings issue and is more of a logic issue, but if it is a settings issue, is there a fix?

Questions / Cannot delete Custom Sort Values
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:55:52 PM »
Hoping someone can help with this.

On a few albums, I've noticed that there are values in the custom sort tables.  When I go into the table and delete the values, click update, and then save, the values return.

Any idea why the deletion will not hold?

Thanks.
