Questions / custom or virtual tag "has artwork?" possible?
« on: February 13, 2018, 05:48:41 AM »
I couldn't seem to find any answer about this, sorry if I missed it. I did look.
I know there's a way to have it show me all my music that contains no album artwork, but I really want it to just show me everything that actually has album artwork and I can't figure out how to do this. I hoped I could create a custom or virtual tag, but I'm not sure what the field is called specifically, or what I would need it to return in order to make this work.  Any help would be appreciated. :)

This happens regardless of version, and is happening in the portable version as well as an old version installed on my computer. I believe it's my library that is the problem somewhere. I really need to remap some folders, too!   (btw, shouldn't this say Win7.1? It says 6.1 lol)

Hi, forgive me if there's an answer somewhere. I really didn't know what precisely to look for. Hopefully this is ok.
I have been dreading trying to use the new version, and am still on the last 2.5 version. I tried to install the new version and I really hated it. A lot. The biggest reason is I couldn't seem to figure out how to get this panel back. I absolutely cannot use MusicBee without this feature. As soon as I installed it, I had to go restore the program folder, because I couldn't figure out how to make this show up again, and it has worked relatively fine, but now it's acting up after a month, and I'm worried my only choice is going to be to finally have to install this new version. Is there a way I can get this feature back in the newer versions? Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks :)

So I'm not sure if this has happened to someone before, but I set up the renaming thing to only make file renaming choices if all the info was present, but for some reason it still managed to ruin such a huge amount of files that there's nothing I can do on my own to manually fix it, which would be impossible anyways because so many of the files no longer have connections to information which told me what the artist or song name was, and furthermore are not songs recognized by acoustic ID or anything like that (even if they were, it's so many songs that it would take days and days to finish the task, and I barely have any time at all). What's worse is that I also had a huge folder full of all the music that I pulled from my ipod because even though I already had those songs on my computer, I needed the star ratings & playlists, which I no longer have since all the files had been moved due to musicbee renaming & reorganizing files. I know this is mostly my fault, but I'm really hoping against hope that someone can help me fix this, somehow, like if there's a log somewhere that contains the file name changes or something.....otherwise I will have to try to somehow use Crashplan to restore 90% of the music & either lose the rest or find another way to figure out what is missing (unlikely). It wouldn't be such a huge problem except for the fact my library of music is so huge, I mean it's over 50,000 songs & while quite a bit of it is discographies, I still have a TON of random songs, often remixes I will never find again or rarer things that are hard to find, plus I had a lot of compilations people put together themselves somewhere, which aren't official & for example, I got this huge folder of an awesome mix of really bass-heavy songs that someone put together & all of the songs were stripped of the original location & artist names, only leaving a number in front of a title name, which for some reason is wrong pretty often. I don't know what to do from here, but I am hoping against hope that someone can help me because this is a huge deal to me. It's a pretty devastating thing, to realize that years and years of collecting music may be ruined because I might have to lose a lot. I could certainly grab all the music from my ipod again, that's no issue, but the real issue is that I already have a ridiculously HUGE amount of duplicates due to doing this in the first place, and since all the files were moved, I can't just delete the ipod folder & start again, or I'll have triplets of most of my music, which I neither have the space for nor the energy/time to deal with.
I know, it's a weird predicament, but maybe if I'm lucky, someone might be able to suggest something for me. I don't mind even paying to fix this problem, it's that important to me. Anyways, I'd be beyond appreciative if someone could help me or make a suggestion. Thanks! <3 ???

Questions / Plz help! What does this mean exactly?
« on: April 01, 2014, 11:53:55 AM »
Hi, so I wanted to send some files to be re-scanned, and I got a message asking me if I was sure, since "tracks imported from the itunes library may have file tags missing, {see help/support/error log]  You could loose (btw that's a major typo in the program lol) tag files from your library if the files are not corrected first."
Ok, so I also want to know what exactly that means....I'm confused by it. But I'm even more confused by this, which was in the error log I checked, which was next to most of the files/songs & the reason behind the question:
"has tags defined in the iTunes library that are missing in the music file"

What can I do about these things? I tried checking the wiki but couldn't seem to find any information about either message. I'm at a loss...if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
I just mostly want to know what exactly I'd be losing if I re-scan the library.

MusicBee Wishlist / Spotify
« on: November 20, 2013, 01:10:51 AM »
I have a Spotiify subscription & absolutely loathe using their desktop program, not to mention hate the ridiculous amount of resources it hogs on my computer. I'd love to be able to use it in my beautiful MusicBee with the awesomeness interface. Don't know if this is a possibility, but if it is, I'd be so unbelievably happy. I'd even pay a recurring fee to be able to use Spotify in MusicBee! That's how much I want it.
