Probably the same error message: this time it popped up after about an hour of listening. After starting MB I started by pressing "Play Library Shuffled," listened about an hour or so, then pressed the same button again.

Edit: This can be fixed by restarting MB, obviously.

Bug Reports / Error when starting playback
« on: January 27, 2021, 03:37:53 PM »
I'm not 100% sure how to replicate this bug, but it appears to happen when I'm using Music Explorer to listen to an artist, then go back to my main library view and press "Play Library Shuffled." I think I need to listen to some music for a while before going back to full library shuffle for this error to appear. As I said, I can't replicate it consistently, but it seems to happen when I do the steps described above.

Using MB 3.4.7688 on W7 x64

I managed to grab an older copy of MB (3.4.7597) from a shadowcopy and with that, the track information panel and "arrange panels" in Layout (1) work normally.

Typically the debug version will add additional data to the error log and Steven will request that you send the relevant lines of the log to him via a PM with a link to the log. Since the error log is a text file, you can read what data is collected before you send it to Steven.

Fair enough, if it is just a text file - which I can inspect myself as well, I can run it.

I can certainly try to run a debug version of MB, though I would like to ask about the data that is collected.

No DLNA/UPNP. I have Last.fm recommendations and stats, lyricsreloaded, and theatermode plugins.

(SHIFT +) ALT + F4 closes something and I can use MB normally again. I tested a bit more and pressing Arrange Panels in Layout (1) freezes MB too. Freeze is not accurate to describe the issue (as is "not responding") though, because music continues playing normally.

Questions / Music Explorer "Appears On"
« on: November 21, 2020, 06:29:00 PM »
Is it possible to have Music Explorer set up to sort by album artist whilst also having the "Appears On" [album X] at the same time? I prefer to have a cleaner library with the Album Artist tag, but the Appears On (which you see by sorting by Artist) looks really great and I would love to have it, particularly now as it in the latest version it appears as a separate section in the music explorer.

In my configuration I have set Track Information to be always on in the right sidebar. When I try to access the settings "Customize Layout", MB freezes completely. I can still use media keys, visualizer works, etc. However, mouse control doesn't work at all, I cannot click on anything in MB, and I have to kill the app in Task Manager to restore functionality. Best I can describe it is that there's an invisible settings window that I would have to close. Pressing ESC doesn't help.

Windows 7 x64
MB 3.4.7628
