The current version is 3.5.8698 and can be found on the MB website on the Downloads page.
You need to download the current version from the downloads page and -then- install the patch.

If your version is still showing v3.0, then either you haven't uninstalled the Store version, or you did uninstall it, but you also have another version installed.

What were you doing to cause the issue? Please provide step-by-step to reproduce it.

Why not set up a filter for the tracks you don't want to see. And then don't enable that filter until the time comes that you -want- to see them.

Bug Reports / Re: Getting an Error When Opening a Few of My Playlists

You're using the Store version, which can not be "fixed" until Steven releases a new version. Are you certain you downloaded it from the Microsoft Store? I find it very unlikely that the Store gave you v3.0 as that is from 2016, And I'm not even sure if the Store version existed then. The current version is 3.5.8698 and can be found on the MB website on the Downloads page.

I suggest you download and "install" the Portable version, placing it in a directory outside of Windows control. Something like C:\MusicBee. The advantage of the Portable version (and the Installer version) is that Steven is regularly issuing patch fixes for bugs. The additional benefit of Portable, is that backing up MB, or moving it to a new PC, can be accomplished simply by copying the entire directory in which MB lives. After installing the Portable version, come back here and download and install the latest 3.5 patch, which will bring you to at least v3.5.8869, which was released a few days ago. Whereas the unpatched 3.5.8698 was released this past October.

It's quite possible that the issue you're experiencing doesn't exist in Portable or Installer. And if it does, and Steven can reproduce it, it most likely can be fixed with a patch release. Which are always found in my signature below.

You can install the Portable while Store is still installed. Configure Portable to your liking, and when happy with it, you can uninstall the Store version and spend the rest of your music listening time with a smile on your face.

Questions / Re: Problem with Auto Organize

Thanks for the screenshot - that's always helpful. So you are definitely moving the files.

Unfortunately I have no explanation as to why, only sometimes, does the file get copied. And to the wrong folder. I guess it shall remain a mystery until someone else chimes in with additional insight.

Do you have the hotkey set up to COPY the files or to MOVE the files? It sounds like you're copying the files. And I don't think CTRL-R is a default assignment, so you probably assigned it yourself. Which is fine except you may have assigned it to the wrong action.

Select a file and hit the hotkey. Take a look at the window that opens and under the presets field there are  three fields. Above the first field does it show "copy" or "move"? Then check to make sure "to folder" and the "naming template" are correct. If you find you've assigned the hotkey up to copy, then simply reassign it to move.

Interesting. I now see that it's on static playlists only. And I've never noticed it before. Thanks Mayibongwe.

If you're referring to the Navigation Lock being applied to a playlist tab, then this is not a bug. It is a NAVIGATION lock. As far as I can recall, there is no method to lock a playlist other than by the method I described. If you are referring to something else, please post a screenshot showing exactly where this lock is.

More details are needed before a proper answer can be provided...

What exactly do you mean by "not working"?
How do you know?
What have you done to test it?
How are you applying it?

I'll clock in here with another AppData size: 797mb.

I delete the lyrics cache every two weeks, but I haven't touched any of the artwork caches. AlbumCovers is 296mb, and ArtistThumbs is 145. Lyrics was emptied today, so I can't provide a size.

Video Support is still stopped? If you have a time to support video
Didn't you read the thread you linked to?
unfortunately the guy who developed the bass video plugin that my plugin is based from does not appear to be spending time to support it, i feel it wasnt fully ready, and also i cant justify the time needed to support it so i am doubtful it will go anywhere.
