Love the program anyway though. It's sleek and fast.

I have to admit it is kind of musical, whenever I click a song the first thing you hear is "RANDOM NOISE THE FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE SONG", which is kind of cool honestly (I am interested in DJing). It's like you get a little sample, and then start from the beginning. I just wish I could make the behavior optional.

Thank you! What about songs begin playing where they were stopped previously? Is that a built-in thing that cannot be changed?

Nevermind, "Stop After Current" only works for that one track. Then it goes back to Auto-play mode.

Ok, I found the "Stop After Current" setting in the "Controls" drop-down menu, but still need help with the tracks playing in the middle of the song.

Questions / Auto-play and tracks playing in the middle of the song
« on: October 23, 2022, 02:57:43 AM »
Hey everybody,

Enjoying musicbee so far, but I cannot find in the settings how do I disable auto-play? I.E. I don't want the next track to play automatically. I just want to play songs that I click.

Another oddity is that whenever I play a track it starts playing in the middle of the track -- basically at whatever location that it was previously stopped at. How do I make it so when I play a track it plays at the beginning?

Sorry I searched the settings and could not find anything about this.

Questions / Disable auto-sorting?
« on: October 15, 2022, 06:40:15 PM »
Hi everyone,

I am going through thousands of tracks and using the Music Bee GUI to add artist, genre and rating information. One thing I noticed is that, in the middle of editing a track, the track will suddenly be auto-sorted and jump off the screen, and I have to scroll through a thousand songs to relocate where it jumped to. Is there any way to disable this?

Right on! I am good to go then. You don't know how long I've been looking for a program that works lol. I could not get Winamp to uptake the album art, unless it was all named a certain way or tagged within the file itself, which would be a very laborious process for thousands of files. And Media Monkey would work somewhat, but the newer versions crash on Win 7. So this program is a God send basically.

Appreciate the reply from you both. Thank you.

Hello everyone,

First of all thank you for Music Bee. I finally found a program that plays all my types of music files AND displays the album art that are located in the folders. I plan it using it to rate a large amount of music. The one thing that has me worried is appear that the file type .opus does not having a "rating" tag when I inspect its properties in Windows 7 (this is no fault of MusicBee of course). So I am wondering, if I go to rate all these .opus files, and then one day I have to re-format my computer or change machines, is there a way to restore the settings or some kind of backup or user data that comes along with Music Bee, so that it will restore all my ratings?
