Questions / Re: Using MusicBee on multiple computers
« on: September 25, 2014, 11:27:08 PM »
This may be cheating but the easiest solution I could find is to use "Remote Desktop" on the 2nd PC and set audio to come from the remote PC. 1MB, 1 Library, 1 set of files (plus the backups on the cloud)

OK.  No replies.  :-[

If anybody cares....Decided that the easiest thing to do was just use MB from my server as a remote desktop on my home theatre.

Questions / MB on home network

Originally posted in "How To's" then saw that it said no questions so reposting here.

I've got MB on my main desktop at home.  I've spent months getting it just the way I like it. (files, no duplicates, genre's, tags etc.)  I've just added another little Asus cube to the network in the room with the home theatre.  I really don't want to start over.  I tried just importing the source files from their original locations but all of the ones that I removed from the library are back in there along with the bogus genres, tags etc.

In short, the only thing I can think to do is to use remote desktop to just log into the other desktop and run MB from there, or load iTunes and reference the itunes library.  But, I WANT TO USE MB!!!!

Any ideas?  I think I saw a few posts that were older that said that sharing a MB library is not a good idea, but was hoping something had changed?

I saw this post.  Is this the path to take??? How to export MB library to iTunes   http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=11800.0  But I really want to use the MB interface with pics, wiki, lyrics etc.
