Questions / Disable Taskbar blinking when playing from command line?
« on: September 08, 2021, 03:59:36 AM »
When launching the cli 'musicbee /play 'filename'' (such as to play files from an external file manager) and the program is already running, the Taskbar icon in windows 10 will start blinking and highlighting the program. I'd just like the files to play in the background without bringing attention to the program. Is there a way to disable this behavior? Not sure if this requires an additional cli parameter or tinkering with windows.

Thank you. :)

CTRL+Home does it for me just like most Windows programs?
I'd like to add a hotbar button for this function; from what I understand you can only add listed functions and not add your own hotkeys?

Questions / Re: Radio Station Field to Show Format?
« on: August 17, 2021, 06:01:52 PM »
I do not have format either on v3.4.7805.
You can use ".ext" tag instead, but it gives weird results for radio URLs. I see MP3 for some results, but others will have the station's IP address in the field instead....
I tried writing "Format" in custom tag in options/tag1 but it doesn't seem to work.

I noticed this too while setting up my radios. The radio search tab also has unique "country" and "listeners" field tags.
Is there a way to include those in your library fields as well?

Questions / Goto beginning/top of current playlist

Is there a feature similar to "GoTo: playing track at source" (automatically scrolls in the playlist to the current playing track) to automatically 'go to' the top (beginning) of the current playlist without having to scroll up manually? I'd like to add a hotbar button for this function. Thanks.

MusicBee Wishlist / Time-based auto-skipping, for radio streams
« on: August 03, 2021, 12:46:28 PM »
Hello Steven & friends, really loving all the awesome features  :)

Could there a way to add a time-based auto-skip to "play next track"?

I regularly use radio stations in my play lists, mixed with both regular local albums/songs and/or other radio streams, which are considered "continuous tracks". I like to shuffle radios or genres to break up monotony, so I have to do it manually.

For instance, if I listen to an alt rock radio, programming can be repetitive (some internet radios have short playlists on a loop), so I'd like to be able to auto-rotate between various other alt rock radios, or other genres, etc.  every 15 minutes for instance?

I personally added toolbar command buttons (such useful awesome feature) that open selected files with:

mp3DirectCut - simple audio cutter, useful to remove long stretches of silence, etc.

Mp3tag - powerful tag editor

Similarily, is there a feature that allows scheduling/auto-skipping to a different genre based on the time? Ie have the playlist play genre category: jazz in the morning, classical in the afternoon, etc.? You could auto-DJ your own local radio station with a different genre every hour etc.
