MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Have multiple libraries open in different tabs
« on: October 13, 2016, 07:07:59 PM »
To Ssri:

It makes sense, but honestly it is just simpler to make multiple libraries for me. I'm not really interested in the audiobooks for the kids, e.g., which are 'handled' by a separate library, to give you the extreme example.
It is a wish for me, but I can live with the things Musicbee gives me already.
I only saw the browser like tab-thing and was thinking... Could it be possible?

Okidoki. I've made a request. Don't get me wrong, I'm already very happy with what I have and can do and with the help on this forum, but a friendly wish can do no harm -  :D

MusicBee Wishlist / Have multiple libraries open in different tabs

I was hinted to move this into a request  8) . A next step in multiple libraries would be the possibility to have them next to each other in the tabs one way or another. Steady as you go!

Questions / more lines under the cover art

Is there a way to add a third text line under the cover art. It seems that my artists have very long names and very psychedelic titles.  8)

Hi there. This program gets better and better with every update!
I googled around a bit but did not directly find a way to spread my libraries over the tabs which are available under the menu. Probably a newby question, but here it is. Thanks.

I wish to lauch another question on this then. Is it possible (I guess a feature request?), to make these subtitles clickable so that you only throw that part in the player? I probably ask a lot, but MusicBee already got me this far.

I finally managed to find the time to get this experiment going. For that boxset that I gave in the example, I used your directions Bee-liever. The album has one name for all. And then I filled the subtitle with Part 1 - Title etc... . In the layout (right click in content field of album), you can then sort by Disc Number and Display the Set, with sub grouping header Subtitle. Maybe there should be more sub-grouping header options here :-). So I guess I'm on the right track to order my discs more and more now.
Thank you for the help alreayd.

Thank you for this very interesting infomation, very useful. I like this Musicbee forum because you always get some help and bit by bit Musicbee is revealing it's true powers.

I've managed to get everything in order by using titles 'Lost in Transit 1 - etc..' 'Lost in Transit 2 - etc...' . And as Lost in Transit 6 and 7 concerns one item, I've made them disc 1 en 2 and they appear together.
That's already a lot!

But i'm also very interested in this subtitles section. Because I have these large collections of 30 CD's+ from artists and if you create for every CD a separate album, my album list will get very, very long. There could the subtitle thing be very handy. I've looked into the other post, but I'm not getting very far for the moment. Where do you set these Subtitle tags (preferences?), tagging of album(?). Sorry but I'm very noob on this field and I really looked around a bit and even with the screenshots I'm not getting there.

Thanks!

Hey, why yes off course, I was trying to keep it simple:
Box Set: Lost in Transit (artist: Radio Massacre International)
Cd 1: The Gatherings 2004
Cd 2: National Space Centre 2005
Cd 3: National Space Centre 2006
Cd 4: Damo
Cd 5: Rain Falls in Leicester & Baltimore
Cd 6: The Gatherings 2007
Cd 7: The Gatherings 2007

I named 6 and 7 : Lost in Transit 6-7 - The Gatherings 2007 , and I numbered the discs, so that works fine as the two cd's are grouped.
The rest seems to be in random order.

You probably think, my god, so complex, but I have a lot of these boxes... .

And this group is a listening hint when you are into space-rocks and electronics...

cheers

Hey, yes, that might be a solution. But what if it are really separate discs (The box contains livesets which have nothing to do with each other)? What I tought to do, was, to number these discs, like Live set 1 - Name Live set, Live set 2 - Name live set, ... . But that doesn't work. Can I force it by title somehow?

Questions / order cd-box set
« on: November 18, 2015, 10:11:11 PM »
Hello,

I have some issues with ordering box-sets. For example, I sort by Artist/Year . So I have a box-set from Artist X from Year 2006. I have seven CD's. I give the Cd-title tag e.g. 'Box Album Best Of - 1' and 2 ... till the last CD. However, the order is not from 1 to 7 but random (or seems to be). Is there a way to refine this? By tag?

cheers; Jfair:
