Bug Reports / Re: Button in taskbar goes orange
« on: November 08, 2020, 11:00:17 PM »
For me that is standard behaviour in Windows 10. It's showing that something is active/happening in that app/program and it goes orange to warn you as it doesn't have focus as you are viewing some other app/program. Click on the 'orange' tab and it will go normal color and bring MusicBee onto the screen/in focus.

Questions / Re: Custom Skins Misaligned--just happened
« on: October 13, 2020, 10:09:26 PM »
I also had this problem but now it is fixed for me.

When I contacted Clarence he explained that the skin uses high level graphics and the way MusicBee is set up it can have this problem on larger resolution screens especially is you scale over 100% as Steven said. I believe the only way to solve this problem at source is for the graphics handling of MusicBee to be rewritten to account for Hi-Def graphics but that would be a major undertaking.

In the meantime, Clarence suggested I refer to this post which can help with the problem for a lot of users. https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=31199.0

It works for me. Just remember that when Windows updates you may need to reset it again (not always tho).

TheaterMode / Re: TM Requests
« on: September 03, 2020, 12:06:23 PM »
Is there a way for TheaterModes to scale properly to different windows scaling?

For example, I'm on 150% window scaling on Windows 10. And pretty much all TMs that come with MB don't scale correctly - everything is too small and spaced incorrectly.

The reverse is also a problem. Since I created most of my TMs in 150% scale, users on 100% or 125% window scaling are seeing everything in the wrong place also.

I fixed this by basically releasing multiple versions of the same TM, each with different font sizes, and x and y coordinates. I wish there's a way not to do that though.

I am not a big user of TM but what you describe sounds similar to problems I had with some of Clarence's skins. At different scaling settings things were moved and became misplaced.

This post has solved the problem for me and the skins line up perfectly no matter what scaling I use.

I wonder if this might help what you describe?

Questions / Re: Move player buttons to right side?
« on: August 01, 2020, 09:23:18 PM »
No, there isn't any way to move theses buttons simply. They are defined by the skinner when they designed the skin.
If the skin you like ends with .xml then you could load that into an editor and have a try at amending the code yourself.
If the skin ends in .xmlc then this is a compiled skin and you would need the source code files to be able to make any changes and they aren't usually given out by the skinner. Which you can understand after they have probably put many hours into creating the skin in the first place.
You could always put a message on the post for that skin asking if there is any way they could help out with a change. Some skinners do and some don't.
I hope this if of assistance.

Questions / Re: newbie question
« on: June 19, 2020, 11:41:28 PM »
musicbee will not move your music. you tell where to find files. it finds them and makes its own library of data (not music). music stay where you put it.
try and put some few music files in a new place and test musicbee on this then see that the files are where you left them. musicbee has data to use files but never changes file location. if you have files you do not want included dont tell musicbee where they are. it is all in link given by moderator. my english not so good but i hope you understand.

Questions / Re: Files on an external HDD
« on: June 01, 2020, 11:14:17 AM »
why not just install portable version of MusicBee on hard drive? that way you have program, library and actual tracks on the device you want to swap between computers.
any play counts and data will then be constant and updated no matter which machine you play from.
only extra suggestion would be to make sure you back up the portable hard drive to one of the machines (or the cloud) on a regular basis so you don't lose your data.
