Questions / Re: Cannot drag files to inbox after installing on Windows 10
« on: November 24, 2019, 04:14:01 PM »
You're right. Well, here's all my details if anyone else has the issue.

I did initially install the update as a user and then had the installer open MusicBee but it didn't work. So I'm still not sure what all of that was about. Maybe a restart should be suggested for people running Windows 10? (Never had had this issue on Win7)

Then I restarted MusicBee (Using a custom restart MusicBee button) and it still didn't work. After that I must have only tried doing everything as an admin.

Just now I completely closed out of MusicBee and opened it regularly and files can be dragged to the inbox. Hooray hooray.

Questions / Cannot drag files to inbox after installing on Windows 10
« on: November 24, 2019, 01:24:54 PM »
I updated to 3.3 and could no longer drag files from explorer into my inbox.
I tried downgrading back to 3.2 and the problem persists.
I installed 3.3 as an administrator, and it still doesn't work.
I ran MusicBee.exe as an administrator, and the problem still persists.
"Enable MusicBee in Windows Explorer and context menus" is checked. Doesn't make a difference either way.

I'm on Windows 10 64-Bit. I upgraded from 7 a few months ago and am pretty sure I haven't installed/updated MusicBee on Win10 until today.

Questions / Re: Accidentally Copied Inbox to Library; How to remove?
« on: September 09, 2019, 08:23:47 PM »
Aaand I got it, though I'm thinking there should simply be a "Delete files not in Folders" option when you rescan...

I created an auto-playlist stating "Path" "Does Not Contain" "B:\My Music\My Library".
Then I deleted the playlist, opting to "Delete Playlist and Files in the Playlist".

The End.

Questions / Accidentally Copied Inbox to Library; How to remove?
« on: September 09, 2019, 08:14:40 PM »
My Library is not set to Auto-Organize. It is contained in one folder.

A few days ago from my inbox I selected hundreds of files and said "Move to Library". I didn't realize until today that they were simply linked to my library and not moved to the folder my library is stored. I attempted to move the files again, but I accidentally chose "Send-To > Folder (Copy)" when I meant to click "Folder (Move)". Now I have a ton of duplicates of each file.

Other than creating a new library, I absolutely cannot figure out how to remove all files that are not stored in my Library's folder.

I tried making a recently added auto-playlist, but there are no files added today. They only have the day they were added to the inbox (strange).

I tried managing duplicates, but sometimes it prompts me to remove the one in the library folder, and sometimes it prompts me to remove the one merely linked to the library.

And of course I tried rescanning, but even though I only have my one library folder checked it doesn't delete files that aren't in that folder.

Plugins / Re: Last.fm Stats
« on: February 23, 2016, 05:26:41 AM »
Not sure if this is an issue with the stats plugin or related to the last.fm issues mentioned above, but the column for "3 Months" is displaying my Overall stats.  This seems to be the only time period with an issue (Overall, 12, 6, 1 month all seem to be displaying correctly).   I first noticed this about 2 months ago, but didn't post anything about it due to the other issues.  Now I'm not so sure if this is related.  I'm using the latest 2.5 release.  Anybody else having same issue and is it with the plugin or caused by last.fm?
I have this problem as well. It wasn't a big deal to me when last.fm was using their old site, but now that they updated I never go to last.fm and just use the MusicBee Last.fm stats plugin.
I'm running 2.5.5447 and just reinstalled the plugin. The problem still persists.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Change "Album Rating" within library
« on: February 23, 2016, 05:15:11 AM »
Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware of that. You can use this music player for years and still discover new things.

Well, I guess my suggestion then is to have the ability to edit album ratings within Track Detail View.

MusicBee Wishlist / Toggle "Album Rating" in the Track Detail view
« on: February 20, 2016, 11:23:09 PM »
Haven't posted in a while (but still enjoying MusicBee daily). Hopefully this request is as simple as I think it'd be.

I know that "Album Rating" was meant to be calculated by taking the average of the track ratings within an album, but I'd like to use it the same way I use track rating.
I'd like to be able to change the rating of an album within the library (instead of editing a track and changing the album rating within).

I personally don't think it'd be necessary to add "Album Rating" to the Bottom Progress Panel, but if someone wants to add that too go for it.

Questions / Re: Auto dj
« on: September 30, 2014, 02:31:20 AM »
At this point, I'm curious what Auto DJ is as well. The wiki doesn't do a very good job of explaining.

Before last.fm started charging subscription costs I used Auto DJ to mix in songs from last.fm when shuffling. It was the greatest feature any music player has ever had.

Now I can't even find the settings for it. How do you use Auto DJ?

Portable Devices / Cowon iAudio 10 details not displayed
« on: April 16, 2013, 05:00:56 AM »
When I click on the device in musicbee it only shows me name, capacity, and free space. It'd be great if Serial Number, Manufacturer, Model, Firmware Version, and especially Battery were all displayed.

Portable Devices / Re: Creative Zen Mosaic Synchronize Problems
« on: April 08, 2013, 09:35:16 PM »
Oh okay, that's what I was doing, but then the problem still happened. But, since it works for you, perhaps my girlfriend is using an outdated firmware or something.

Ah well.

Well, I suppose that explains it. Though it's odd that it was still uploading 21% of the files onto the player.

How are you syncing your Zen then? I'm working with a 19gb library and a 14.9gb player, so I need to have a way of choosing what will go on the mp3 player.

Portable Devices / Creative Zen Mosaic Synchronize Problems
« on: April 08, 2013, 03:32:37 PM »
The Creative Media Player software is awful, so I attempted to sync my girlfriend's Zen Mosaic with musicbee. It recognized the device, but it was unable to drop-down device menus like "Music", "Video", etc. No big deal.

I put all of the files I wanted to sync in a playlist and had the device only sync the files in that playlist (this is what I do with my Cowon). I hit the sync button.

It runs smooth until about 21% of the player is full, then every transfered track fails. MusicBee continues trying to write the tracks to the device. I had to stop the transfer, but I wager it would infinitely attempt to write the tracks over and over. I tried the whole process again and the exact same thing happened.

Such a bummer. Now my girlfriend is going to have put all of the albums she wants on her mp3 player on one by one again (and the stupid creative software won't import the m3u playlist I made in musicbee). I feel pretty bad about it.

I'm using a Cowon iAudio 10 mp3 player with musicbee, and it works great.
The only thing that bothers me is how long it takes to sync it. My device doesn't even support Star Ratings (sadly), nor publisher, comments, or any of the tags(2) fields; yet if I edit any of these fields in my Music Library, it has to reupload the edited tracks onto my mp3 player.

It'd be nice if we could make it so certain fields are exempt from being scanned/noticed when syncing.

I've been wanting this, but I ask for too much stuff as it is. Glad someone else did.
