Questions / Re: How to create proper tag on movie soundtrack ?

I also wonder how to properly display "VA" albums. So far, I see every artist seperately. Browsing around in this forum didn't bring up a valid solution for me.

Hello? Is this such an unusual question? How can I make 2 MB instances show the same playlists, last played, everything? Is it simply enough to point both instances to the same MB subdirectory? That doesn't seem to work for me, hence my question. Basically I need to sync my rated tracks everywhere. How do I achieve that in the most easy way?

Questions / Two devices - same MusicBee?
« on: December 25, 2019, 01:34:24 PM »
Dear MusicBee lovers: I have a simple task: I have a tower PC, a small always-on headless device and a laptop. All running Windows 10. What I like to achieve is this: I would like to play my songs from the tower PC and the laptop. Best would be if they would use the exact same configuration library and playlist files. So if I rate a song, it would just appear on those two devices. Would it be best to just use the always-on as the file server? I have complete copies of my whole collection on both other devices, and sync them regularly with Total Commander.
What is your suggested mode of operation here?

Questions / making the current playlist tab "absolute" for further playback
« on: September 12, 2019, 06:57:14 PM »
Hey guys!
First of all, sorry for the weird title, but I have a question that I don't really know how to describe. I guess I want to ask if this specific use case is supported:
I often use the auto-DJ feature, hear something that I want to look further into (e.g. more from the currently running album/musician/etc). Then I can start searches in new tabs and can play a specific track. but the "now playing" tab is still the actual playlist. How can I make the current search mask/custom tab, be the actual playlist for which all controls (like queue from here etc) will be valid?

I suddenly recognized that even 5.1 files are played correctly now. As I didn't change anything, the program must have developed. Thanks!

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: exporting playlists
« on: August 19, 2018, 05:06:15 PM »
I don't do it in the process. Whenever I add some flac files to my collection, I also add them manually to a second folder as mp3. That folder goes to my cellphone (Automatically synced with foldersyncpro).
So far using my favorite songs, requires me to heavily edit the exported m3u (file path, unix/windows slashes and of course renaming the flac files to mp3). Everything but the last part is automated now with music bee.

MusicBee Wishlist / exporting playlists
« on: August 18, 2018, 07:59:03 PM »
Hello!
Today I discovered the feature to automatically export playlists and also have the file-path adjusted automatically. This is really nice for me to export to my Android cellphone. The only problem for me is that I still have to use a text editor to replace the .flac extensions to .mp3. I have to convert those due to space limitations. It would be most lovely to have a "search and replace" feature, so this could also be automated. Pleeease? :)

Bug Reports / Re: Win 10 Play Folder with MusicBee

I just switched from the Installer version to the store version and also encounter this problem. Already ran MB as Administrator but it doesn't fix. For now the context menus don't work for me with the store version.
