Visualizers / Re: Getting started with developing visualizers

Touching on a pretty much dead topic... Visualizers are great for DJs who utilize multi-screen displays. You can have one going on a split/extended screen while you do all your stuff behind the scenes.

MusicBee Wishlist / Audiobook requests
« on: May 16, 2019, 06:09:54 PM »
I have A LOT of audiobooks and multi-disk teaching collections.

1...
When MB auto-populates the artist info, it is ALWAYS 100% wrong when it comes to audiobooks. Unless someone has an easy way to grab the artwork for this, it would be nice to see a "Is this the correct artwork?" popup or field upon initial population (when auto-rip is disabled) which would then go into the Search/Choose options if someone chooses "NO".

Would the custom weblinks be a possible solution for this? I had forgotten about them until I was reminded in another post.

2...
Have an option to populate the info from the previous rip/disc. When it comes to audiobooks, and MB having incorrect information, you have to manually type in the info for each disc. When you're dealing with anywhere from 5-12 discs, it gets mighty tedious.

MusicBee Wishlist / Functions available in Titles
« on: May 16, 2019, 06:04:33 PM »
It would be nice if we could do a bulk rename/reorganize of the titles using the same methodology as the filenames. I have a lot of audiobooks that have oddball titles that represent Disk/Track IDs from the initial rip. Rather than manually going through and manually typing "Track xx" on each one, it would be VERY handy to simply have a function to do "Track "<Track#> (or any custom title that can be utilized). I'd even be keen on a single "Enumerate track titles" option where it auto-names to the example I just shared.

Second this... Well, technically, I'm the 7th

I was trying to add a tag for "Episode" (changing the display for the Custom 1 tag) for a series of audiobooks and got an error saying the field already existed. I went to save it, since I couldn't find the tag anywhere and it appeared nothing happened. I went to close it and nothing happened. I clicked on the X to force close and got a popup saying that the collection had been modified and asked if I wanted to save it. I said yes, and it just hung at that point. Had to go into Task Manager and force close.  The error log didn't really show much.

I have a screenshot, but this forum apparently doesn't allow it unless it's on the web.

Error log item:

5/16/2019 10:40:48 AM - refresh library failed: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.

Just to note, I'm seeing a lot of this error in the log. But many of the errors are from over a month ago, and going all the way back to when I first started using MB.

Unrelated question: Can I clear out the log of the old errors that may be related to older versions?

Questions / Re: Is there a way to add websites for artwork?
« on: July 12, 2018, 04:41:15 PM »
That was just what I was looking for. It would be nice if they appeared somewhere other than on a right-click menu in the Now Playing, since I want to search on them when I'm in the Rip screen.

For anyone who is looking for the codes for sites (for artwork), here is what I came up with. If one doesn't work and you modify it, post it below.

Google1: https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&tbs=imgo:1,isz:l,iar:s&dpr=1&q=<Artist> <Album> Album (from the link posted above)
Google2: https://www.google.com/search?as_st=y&tbm=isch&as_q=<Artist>+<Album>&tbs=isz:l (large-format images)
Last.fm: https://www.last.fm/music/<Artist>/<Album>
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=<Artist>+<Album>
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/search/?q=<Artist>+<Album>&type=release

Questions / Is there a way to add websites for artwork?
« on: July 11, 2018, 03:19:33 PM »
I'm finding that I have to go to Amazon or Discogs to find some of the album covers. Is there a way to add them to a config file somewhere?
