Portable Devices / idiots guide to syncing anyone
« on: December 04, 2018, 12:31:17 PM »
Hi,

Im new to MusicBee and have spent many months ripping my CD collection to MusicBee. I have over 11,000 songs. So I bought a Pioneer XDR-100R so I can play my music library on the move. I have also added two 200gb SD cards to my device.

So what is the best way to sync from MusicBee to my music player? I have copy/pasted via Explorer, I use window 10, onto one SD card and its full. Is this the best to manually copy the remainder to the 2nd SD card? Surely there is a better way to synchronise my entire library in MusicBee to my Pioneer music player??

Also I am a lyric person. I can search and save lyrics to each song. Is there a way to do this for each Album?

Sorry in advance, im old school and find technology, well not that easy. Please be gentle :)

Lastly, can anyone recommend an easy to understand tutorial for MusicBee?

Thanks
M

Questions / Double CD ripped into two different folders
« on: June 07, 2018, 07:26:33 PM »
Can someone please tell me how to merge two CDs please? For some reason whne i Ripped the Cd to musicbee it created two separate files. The only difference I can see is one has a '/' and the other has 'and' in the title. How do i merge them?

Thanks

Portable Devices / Trouble transfering music to Astell & Kern AK70
« on: December 14, 2017, 12:31:47 PM »
Using Windows 10 laptop and Astell and Kern AK70 music device. All are up to date.

I have tried 3 times to 'Send to my..200GB SD card in my AK70. Each time it has successfully transferred only 25% or 70% of my music files. What am I doing wrong? Is there another and better way to Synchronize MusicBee so I get 100% transferred? I tried using Window 'Cast To..' option that did not work. I then chose windows Send to..from File manager to the AK70 SD card. This worked better but still not everything transferred over.
I have over 10,000 songs to upload, it said it will take 12 hours.

Sorry if this has been asked already, i have looked and cant find a similar question

Thank you

Questions / Re: Importing from Itunes question
« on: August 09, 2017, 07:11:32 PM »
As no one has replied is it possible that MusicBee will not show the location correctly as these files are AAC Audio files and encoded with Itunes ?

I have several thousand I-toons AAC 256k VBR music files - all work normally with MB  ;D

They work normally I just want to know why the location in MB says Itunes when its not, its should say /Ripped Files. I can then delete Itunes - Thanks

MusicBee does not move files unless you tell it to manually (File > Organize Files) or configure an auto-organize feature.  If you want newly imported files to be moved, you might be interested in Automatically Sweep and Organize New Files, which in Preferences > Library.  The main Auto-Organize feature is found in the same place, and is a little more advanced.  It will automatically rename/reorganize files if you make changes to the tags, etc.

Thanks psychoadept. I'm an old school self confessed music snob! Getting to grips with these things is not easy. I bought a AK70 which is awsum, getting to grips with that as well. When technology is not in in your DNA I guess.

As I'm just backing up, again looking at Preference/Library . So Automatically Sweep and Organise new files will go through my music files and put  them in MusicBee/Ripped Files folder? The location on MusicBee/Edit/location will no longer say Itunes Medi ?? phew!  I will then be able to delete Itunes and all its folders and files, being left with MusicBee only ? Thats what I am trying to achieve  Sorry if this sounds obvious

Update. I did copy paste one CD, just to see if this resolves the problem, but no. MusicBee still shows the location as in Itunes ?

I'm new to MusicBee, just getting to grips with it. I want to move everything from Itunes to MusicBee/Ripped Files location. I can see my music in MusicBee but the location is still says itunes, why? So this is what i have done...I have the latest version of Windows and MusicBee and using a laptop.

In MusicBee I click File/Library/Import/Import from Itunes. The hour glass turns for about 10 seconds and stops. There are over 9,000 songs i want to import to musicBee. I can see them in MusicBee, and they play in MusicBee but when I look at Edit and the location, the file is still itunes\itunes Media. Also looking in Explorer I see everything is as it was, its not imported into MusicBee/Ripped Files location. The only ones that have the correct MusicBee location are recently Ripped Files.

Should i copy paste them into Ripped Files ? I do want to import everything including artwork and play count etc.

Help anyone???

Questions / New to MusicBee have a problem
« on: July 31, 2017, 12:06:04 PM »
Sorry if I'm being dumb here but .....I'm using window 10 on a laptop. Tried and re tried to import my music files from ITunes into MusicBee, something has gone wrong.

First I imported direct about 40x CDs into MusicBee as .Flac files. They played perfectly.
I then cut (not copied) and paste from itunes Media/Music folders into Music Bee /Ripped folder.

I can see everything in MusicBee and all the Itunes files play ok. Except the original ripped .Flac now wont play.

In MusicBee if I look at these .Flac files in Properties/encoded with it says 'reference libFLAC 1.3.1 20141125
Location is MusicBee\Ripped Files\ etc etc.

In Windows explorer I can STILL see all my files in Itunes (I did cut, so wasnt expecting to) and i see nothing in MusicBee. Yet when i look at MusicBee in explorer these .Flac files are not there. They STILL show in Itunes, as we know Itunes wont play .Flac files.

What can i do, other than redo all 40 CDs, so MusicBee again plays and recognises my new .Flac files

I know i have done this importing/copying files a bit cockeyed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
