actually the solution is to use bass_aac.dll
see the FAQ section for instructions on how to get it

Hi. I've tried both of those solutions, but all three hls/m3u8 stationsI listen to still glitch every 30 seconds. Is there any other  solutions? Thanks!

A couple of images to illustrate this.

A track that I have tagged with both ID3v2.4 and APEv2 tags.

Thanks for your input on this! Have you ever found a way to make MB save both ID3 AND APE tags? Or, at least, not delete 'unchosen' one when details are saved?

... there does seem to be an issue with Custom Tags being duplicated (x4 is some cases!) in MusicBee's Library.

On checking this a bit more, it seems MB has handling in place for when using both ID3 and APE tags to stop them from being duplicated when displayed.
But it seems there might be a bug as it doesn't extend to Custom tags and also won't work on inbuilt custom tags if you change the 'display name'.

You might need to post this in the Bugs sub-forum for Steven to see this.

I can see one error (in your "Custom Tags" post)
Your Album Artist is being saved to TXXX/Album Artist instead of the TPE2 frame for ID3v2 tags.

Maybe a pic of your Custom Tag Definition panel before you make any changes would be a good idea

Album, title, year, etc, never get duplicated (and they also exist twice - in both APE and ID3).

I could try that, but I don't want any tags to be altered by MB because of the editing issue with APE vs ID3.

In one thread you can't figure out why tags are being duplicated.

In the other thread you're duplicating tags.

I'm thinking the two are related.

Thanks so much for this - it's good to talk! And, as so often happens, as soon as you do, you start to see the problem yourself. What I think is happening, as another poster has alluded to, is that because I am insisting on using both APEv2 and ID3v2 tags for reasons I've explained elsewhere, Musicbee is displaying both:

It's just a pity that I have to do all the editing externally because MB can't be set to write both tags itself. So I should just ignore the duplicated displays, I think...?

Thanks so much for the response.
I'll try and sort out the image upload thing when I'm back at the PC later  I thought I would be able just to attach one.

The mp3 tags themselves (read in mp3tag) have the tag once. In the Musicbee library, there are two... or now sometimes four: all exactly the same!

I am wondering if I have misunderstood the custom tags setup and it's just displaying them more than once, rather than multiple instances actually being present.. if that makes any sense!
