MusicBee Wishlist / settings for equalizer

hi folks,
i wish for the equalizer default save path a setting to a user default. That can be changed permanently namely i wish to save it to user/music/musicbee/equalizer, always
there is already a musicbee folder in my music, and when i make a backup i just keep my documents. so it would be backed-up in future cycles.

MusicBee Wishlist / album art download / editor

i have the beta version of 3.1.6427

i use album art downloader from https://sourceforge.net/projects/album-art/?source=navbar

it has quite a lot of plugins supported to find accurate covers. my wish is to enrich music bee with the functionality of album art downloader

Bug Reports / crash report - album covers not loaded

music bee does not load all covers from id3tag, i need to select albums and songs and go to tab -> cover, and select the tick box,

sometime it crashes and sends these message:

red arrow points to empty cover, yet all have covers in the tag.

hi Steven, i have tested this and it is fairly complicated. i cannot make it to produce the result i am looking for,

let’s say i open musicbee, interpret: (Bryan Adams) i have 5 albums, with each about 10 songs. this is now seen in the middle.
the way it works is when i double press on song 21 all the 50 songs get added to the playlist. that is fine.

here is where rating mode coms into play. all songs rated below 1 star are not added to the playlist. so that would make 45 songs.



your idea has not ben satisfying since now the playlist contains also other interprets, but if i choose James Blunt first in the interpret section, then its James Blunt i want.

Hi there,

i have been using musicbee for a long time, it’s doing great. thanks

Idea 1.
the reason why i write is about a feature that would be nice to have. some albums have songs that are not my taste, but i still like to listen them now and then. so i think a feature that lets me choose to play songs above 1 or 2 stars rating (adjustable), but follows the song numbers as usual.
For now, i can sort it from 5 to 1 star but then it’s getting messy since it sorts different albums together. a feature would make things easy.  
the feature is meant to jump 1 song a head. maybe an option to give it a specific amount of time, like 1 -5s would be great for songs, that were connected in flow but would not fit the melody after a jump.
  
Idea2.
For rating, it’s been tricky. At the bottom, there is a short popup, can it be transformed so rating can be done there directly if wished by the user. (taskbar popup, and preview popup down right) for now I need to go to musicbee and do it there. That slows my work down a bit.  

Another thing:
sometime musicbee keeps silent when i use other software that uses asio output etc... you might want to look into, it won’t output any music since it says output not available or so. i don’t remember very well, can there be a way to configure audio output from within musicbee? So it claims the output back.

Questions / tags error

Hi there,

i had an issue with the library not working decently,
now i have an issue, with the tags not being read correctly. they have been modified with mp3tag,
any chance you can link mp3tag inside the program? for convenient tag editing?

these tags were modified before the music bee installation, so long time ago. why can't it read them correctly.

i understand, at some point music bee had my current library path renamed to something like: C:\user\joe\{ejfashfahsdkjfh28u23}
i have just reinstalled my firewall comodo today, beacuse after upgrading from win7 to win10 it blocks all internet connections.

so it might as well be the change to win 10 or the reinstallation of comodo firewall or the betaversion?

well that is what i have done. 

last time i went around this issue, and killed the complete library to reread it. that works. but is simply not convenient.
ok i have removed the folder from the library and inserted it again a view minutes later, and it added all to the library. all seems ok for now? !

i have removed another folder with 200 songs, while running music bee, it correctly removed them from the library. i closed music bee, and put the folder back, music bee does find it. so it seems ok,

it seem the patch can somehow make it work. i am not fully convinced. i add music from time to time. if i get in trouble again i let you know.

yes i have used v3, now i have selected your nightly build, and inserted it to install folder, it works, but library error persists.
i will upload the images you asked for and send the link, if you need futher assistance, like a log file i am happy to assist you.

nice program, i wish library were constantly checking for new files. it is setup that way. and folder is marked correctly. still it does not work. there seems to bee an issue here.

The * MUSIC BEE * tab opens menu bar, we know that,
but the space from top header is not used, instead all is squezed so compact in this *MUSIC BEE * menu.

to solve i see 2 possibilities,

a) use icons and do like pspad text editor,
b) the more prefered way, is to make a small ribbon like word and excel use

this will use every space on the screen to maximize effectiveness and ease of access!
i do not like the idee going from menu to sub menu, to extension menu, and choose option last at least

in 2 clicks all must be found!

i wanted to add an image to give an illustraion:
here i just post a link to solidoworks, check top menu & header of programm.
All the space is used, from left until the minimize and closing section at right!
