I recently used DVDAudioExtractor to create some WAV audio files. The software seemed to create tags for some files and not others. Those with tags are ok when calculating volume levelling values but MB is unable to calculate these values for those without track/title tags. In addition when I use the filename to infer tags, that works but if I then (unsuccessfully) try to calculate the regain values again the tags are removed.
I would appreciate any thoughts on how I might overcome this problem.
Thanks

Bug Reports / Re: volune analysis not writng tags
« on: December 02, 2019, 02:58:34 AM »
Thanks to you both for your help.
I decided to stick with MB 3.3.
The good news is the problem has resolved albeit perhaps temporarily. I unchecked the box to provide a warning if the volume levelling calculation would cause clipping and wav file volume levelling gain tags are now being written.
Cheers

Thanks again for the response.
I understand that wav tags are problematic. However I had no problems at all under MB 3.2. Is it possible to revert to that version ?

Thanks for the response.
Yes it did work with a Flac file after the conversion.
However I have been using predominantly WAV files with MB for a number of years without any problems until downloading the latest version. Presumably something has changed.
Any other thoughts or should I try to revert to the previous version of MB?

Hi, I have just downloaded the latest version of MB and when sending new scans to the volume analysis the calculated replay gain is not being written to the library entry. I am using wav files.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Questions / ripping cd tool fails to find BD Drive
« on: January 06, 2018, 02:10:54 AM »
Hi,

I recently installed a new BD player / DVD / CD player and when I try to rip a cd the player does not appear in the "source" field hence the message "no cd loaded" is encountered.

Windows can see the drive and I can successfully rip using EAC program . I have reinstalled MB but that didn't help.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Questions / Re: Sharing MB library over 2 systems

Thanks Steven.

It appears that I am getting a error logged at every startup but I only get the "Invalid URI" and error log popping up the first time after I use the other system.

Here is the error log for the last 3 days, the middle being when the message popped up.

Hi All,

I am now accessing the MB library on one system over wifi from a second system in another room. It seems to be working well with one exception and I have confined my activity to one system at a time.

When I next start MB on one system after using the other I get a start-up message

"Invalid URI. The URI scheme is not valid".Once I press OK the error log opens up with the report
"27/03/2017 11:19:00 AM - 10.0.14393.0 - 3.0.6276.35911 - System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI scheme is not valid.

   at System.Uri..ctor(String uriString)
   at #=q4obheSehcMgJP1Exg7H7x6DkeHKMzahiXMVG
MB then starts and plays without any problems.

Can anyone suggest how I can stop the messages appearing.

Thanks and regards

Great thanks. Now installed. Yes this version (3.06.6077) solves the problem mentioned above.

Hello,

I have had a similar problem with the now playing panel. In my case all is well until a song is played for which no artist picture can be found. Album colours are displayed for this and all subsequent songs. If I force an artist picture rotation the new picture lasts about 12 seconds before the album colours appear again. A restart of MB always fixes the problem until the scenario appears again.

I tried to run the patch mentioned above and got the following unexpected error so would be grateful for your further advice. Thanks

Just to reconfirm replication, the following sequence occurred:
1. The Who - no problem with artist pictures rotating
2. Testeagles - album colours only
3. Richard Thomson - picture (few seconds) then album colour then right click then picture (few seconds) then album colours etc
4. Restart MB at Richard Thomson -  no problem with artist pictures rotating

Thanks for your response.

As a postscript, I found a restart of MB got the rotation going again. So I  queued an obscure Aussie artist again and replicated the problem. I waited for a change in artist, this time Dr.John, and a right click selecting "next picture" brought a picture for few seconds before displaying the album artist colours again. I restarted MB again and Dr. John pictures rotated automatically without a problem.

Maybe I need to avoid obscure Aussie artists :)

Do you think then that the problem is my internet connection?
