Title: dynamically export auto-playlist to a .m3u file
Post by: ciganik on March 21, 2010, 01:02:37 PM
Feature for media stations such as PS3 not supporting auto-playlist format (.xautopf).
There could also be an option to select any other format (not only .m3u)?
thnx

I'm also voting for this on the wishlist. Currently, in order to get an M3U of an auto-playlist, I "Save As Playlist" with the same name to get the M3U version, copy it to NAS and then delete it from MB. An "Export" feature would be great in order to create M3U files (or other selectable format) at a user-specified location.

anyone interested in this function and would like to test before its included in the next 1.2 update:
http://www.mediafire.com/?y5551tttqzx

in the Library preferences you can specify the location and format for exported files, and when creating/amending auto-playlists there is a new tickbox to 'automatically export a static copy'
The playlist is exported each time you save the auto-playlist, and when musicbee exits and the library has changed
